Hi,
I will be graduating in may and am interested in going abroad this summer to take some classes (have to take classes anyway but want to get out of the states).
Has anyone done this? i dont speak any european language but would that mean i would be limited to taking classes in an english university?
i'm particularly interested in taking science classes (not artsy ones related to lets say italian art or like literature)-are there any down sides to this?

Thanks!

The University of Sussex actually has some courses that caters to US students. It's one of the only colleges I know of that offers US pre-med courses, making it far easier for pre-meds to study abroad.

I had very mixed experiences with the Sussex science program, though. It was great for physics and abysmal for the bio class I took there. The bio class was taken along with other British and foreign students. What killed me is that the final exam, which amounted to 80% of my final grade, was a 45-minute, four essay exam. That's right. 20% of your grade was determined by a just over 11-minute essay. It basically came down to who could write the fastest.

Brighton is a cool little town, and you'll find lots of international kids at Sussex. I enjoyed my time there, but that bio class was ridiculous.
