My significant other and I were lucky enough to get interviews at the same school. We have been together since high school and really want to go to the same medical school. Is this worth casually mentioning during an interview if it comes up? We don't want adcom to think that we won't attend if only one of us gets in but it would be so beneficial if we could be each other's support system during medical school. I guess I just want them to know that we're strong and independent individuals, but stronger as a package since we have helped each other a lot during undergrad.

Don't use the stronger as a package line. That's terrible. Some adcoms will ask why you applied to this school, what you're excited about, etc etc. It's OK to casually mention that you have an SO of 5+ years that is also pursuing an MD and got an interview at that program.

If it were a spouse you *might* get some love from a sympathetic interviewer but because it’s just a SO, probably won’t change anything or get you any points
