Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone might be interested, you can get a semi-auto Taurus PT-24/7 chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP for $312.48.

You could get an East German Makarov for that much and it will be functional long after that Taurus has disintergrated.

I don't know if I would trust a website to buy a gun. I imagine trying to return it for a problem would be a major hassle. It would probably be easier to buy it from a store. Also you wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee if you bought it in a store.

Don't know much about Taurus. I searched for Kahr PM9, because I am considering it. The prices online seem to be about what I would pay in a local store anyway. So I don't know if that website is really significantly cheaper or not.

It's OK if you know exactly what you want, and you're likely to get a far better deal than picking something out at a local shop, even after the transfer fee. If you buy new from one of the reputable brands, the manufacturer will make things right even if the dealer gives you problems.

They'll often support their products if you buy used, too. I bought a used Sig at a gun show a couple years ago, and it had serious failure to feed problems with the last round out of every magazine. No warranty, no recourse with the seller. I sent it to Sig and had it back a week later, fixed by their gunsmiths, no charge except shipping to them. I wouldn't expect that from the discount makers though.
