I'm trying to fill out my TCOM secondary. The line that tells how long it can be is cut off. It says:

"1) In your own words, explain the concept of osteopathic medicine as you understand it. (500 words o"

Well, I thought that said 500 words or less. I wrote a 500 word essay. It cut off all but the first paragraph and first sentence of the second paragraph. The error message and some trial and error testing seem to indicate that it can only be 1000 characters. Anyone know anything about it?

I ran into the same problem. The error message that pops up says you can only fill in 1000 characters. So I had to really trim mine.

I dont know if this helps, but sometimes when they say charecters, they include spaces... you may want to call the school and ask what exactly they mean

I'm waiting for an email response, but I do think it includes spaces. That's so radically different from 500 words though (how many words are only two characters, including the space after it?!)...

Well I can log on now. Moosepilot, did they get back to you about the length? Also are all questions supposed to be the same length as well? They only put word limit on their first question.

I had the same issue, and I called the admissions office and they confirmed that it's a 1000 character limit with spaces, not 500 words. I had written mine as 500 words too, and it was hard to swallow when I had to trim so much. :luck:

Thanks for the info. Does this refer to every questions they ask?

They haven't gotten back with me, so I'm glad someone found out!
