Technical Problems with application when you submit the first day???

Hi everyone! I have been planning on applying within the first few days due to concerns about being a marginal numbers applicant, but having some interesting ECs (I think...hope...) that may get me some interviews if I apply early. I was talking to my cousin, who graduated from a top 10 and worked with an admissions committee, and he said NOT to submit within the first few days because people who do this always have technical problems and get screwed over because information is missing, scrambled, etc. Has anyone heard this before? Did anyone submit on the first day with no problems? lots of problems? Thanks!
