Hey guys,
So I'm looking to take a technical program at a local college for lab tech to get some work for my final year at school plus gap summer to pharm school. I found a program available but it got me wondering how the pharmcas views this.
Some of the classes are like histology, cytotechnology, immunohematology, clinical chemistry, and etc. Would these courses be considered a "science" for the pharmcas? A lot of these classes also go for 9 months or so part time and about 11 credits are awarded once the course itself is complete.
How would this be viewed by pharmacy schools? How would it be viewed by pharmcas? The grading is different (94 is an A, 80 is a C) so I don't want to screw myself up taking this if the scale is harder and it's not going to help me much but can hurt me greatly.
Also, how would it be categorized in the pharmcas? Is it technically still undergrad? If I did this after I finished my bachelors would it be considered graduate or undergrad still?
Any other thoughts that I'm not considering when taking this program? For both good and bad?
