My status at AMCAS was just changed to "processed"!

Here are a few questoins I have (sorry they are so trivial but I'm very in the dark about the process):
1. How do you find out whether your application is "complete" yet at schools to which you've sent secondaries? Is there an easy way to do it online?
2. A few schools haven't gotten the preliminary transmission yet (Tufts for one) so are they just waiting till my AMCAS is processed to download or have I somehow slipped through the cracks?

congrats on getting processed.

1. some schools have online status check pages. others send out postcards or emails indicating a complete application. most schools seem to have status check days, too, where you can call their admissions office and find out what the status of your application is.
2. tufts doesn't really get your data from amcas, beyond your name and address. they'll send you a letter w/ an ID # to put on their secondary application (which is available on their website for all to download) and will ask you to enclose a printed copy of your verified AMCAS application w/ their secondary app.

TUFTS has said that they have a different download system for your AMCAS app - or something to that effect.
Which is why they ask you to submit a copy of your AMCAS app with your secondary app.

If Tufts is not transmitted, while other schools are, that means that Tufts has probably gotten your AMCAS app.

My Tufts secondary was handed in a long time ago, and it still says on AMCAS that it wasn't transmitted, so it really doesn't mean much for TUFTS...

So, does this mean that I'm supposed to contact Tufts or will they contact me about the secondary?

They will send you a secondary in the mail, if i remember correctly.
They don't screen, so you will definitely get one.
They wouldn't even have resources to screen, since they don't really see your AMCAS til you mail it in with secondary.
