I don't think I can handle this much anticipation for much longer. I want an interview invite SO badly! :hungover:

I think that's for the entire applicant pool, not the people who interviewed April 9th. Otherwise they would have sent out the next round of interview invites already. I might be wrong...I really hope we don't need to wait that long lol
 
Hey! Just wondering, but for those that were invited to interview in April, during what month were your applications considered complete?
 
It's weird that they would wait that long. Maybe they really are planning to see how many people accept out of the 20 before making interview decisions. I think everyone will be accepted! *overly optimistic*

I submitted everything in late December and I got a complete email in late January 🙂

I submitted everything mid-January and was complete late January
 
I'm still waiting for them to receive my LORs...I sent them almost two weeks ago

Everything else I had completed in early/mid- March. Hope this doesn't go against me too much
 
I'm only assuming that because I know some BCMS applicants already received rejections.

Also for people who interviewed at ACMS, how long in advance were you invited to the interview? A week or two?
 
Oh wow! Okay. I wonder when the next interviews will be. I just got accepted to a different program but this is still my #1.
 
Thank you! It's Case Western's MSMP program. It's newer but seems like also a great program. I am currently in Boston for undergrad so have also applied to a couple around here but the cost of living is so high here it's absolutely ridiculous.

I'm waiting on temple to complete my apps (other than temple and case) because I want it so badly and would choose it over any other program. Frustrating because idk if all this waiting will be of no use since they don't seem to be sending out more interview invites anytime soon. I only completed my Case app because they don't give you a certain amount of time to accept/decline, so it's nice to know I have somewhere to go.

Case Western! That is amazing. Congrats again. I was looking into John Hopkins (newer program), BU and Georgetown too. But I get where you're coming from. TUSM is my number one choice (basically because I live right down the street from the school- so if any OOS need some Philly pointers hit me up).

Do you think they are waiting to review all applicants after the deadline (for the July interviews)? I think May/June interview invites will be sent out soon
 
If I were you, I would call them. Call them early and ask why your things aren't completed yet and then ask when they will send more invites.

Another day without news...He said this week, but I won't hold my breath.
 
I'm going to call them next Wednesday (when I think they will receive all my LORs) and Ill ask when they are sending out more invites. I can keep everyone posted on what they say.
 
Thank you! I like the idea of the Case program too but I'm still crossing my fingers here. Maybe I'll try calling tomorrow. My app has been complete since February but I can at least ask about interviews. Seems like people have had the best luck in the morning so I'll try that and keep people updated if I can.
 
It's as if it's forwarding immediately to a (full) voice mailbox. How frustrating. It is 4:30 though so like I said I'll try back in the AM.
 
What. I actually got through. He said they don't know the exact date yet but late May. And invites could be any time but probably at least a week.
 
Are any BCMS applicants that did not go through this year plan on applying for next cycle?
 
Just called and the guy said that he believes that decisions were mailed (acceptances). I don't understand why they don't just email. I'm pretty nervous!

Edit: The guy sounded kind of unsure, so I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happens.

Hey guys. I have been following this post and decided to call as well. I may have talked to the same guy as you all. He said interview invites will be going out throughout May and June. He also said rejection letters can be sent at any time but you can be waiting up until July to get one. I think we just have to wait. To the people who interviewed and got letters from IT you guys are lucky. I have been completed since January 28th. I asked the boy for my status and he couldn't say more but completed and under review. I have already been accepted to Mississippi Master program and Drexel IHS program. I had my interview for Midwestern today. I was suppose to apply to apply to EVMS but decided not to retake the MCAT although I have the gpa. I just want to know at this point and not have to wait almost six months for a decision.

He rejection letters are so frustrating because at this point we all obviously have hopes that we're still in the running but who knows it that's even true.

Congrats! I just got an acceptance letter too! Postmarked 4/23 for anyone else waiting to hear back
 
I actually talked to possibly the same guy today. He told me they extended the deadline by a week. And too not be anxious about even handing in materials. I think they're waiting for BCMS to settle before they start sending the rest of the invites.
 
My application to BCMS was complete in late Feb. Never heard back with a rejection or interview invite. Obviously it's too late for the latter. 🙁

Would anyone who's been accepted be willing to share their stats? I'd like to see if I have similar stats. I feel like I'm pretty competitive but who really knows.

Yeah for sure. 3.9 gpa low 30's mcat.

I don't think medicine is all about stats. It's getting more and more competitive each year. Also temple is my top choice medical school and was unfortunately rejected from the med school. If doing a postbac for just another year is what it takes, I'll take it.
