I want to apply to Temple's pharmacy program for the Fall of 2008. However, I do not see their minimum PCAT scores or GPA. Does anyone know where I can get their information? Thanks for the help!

hey. i have heard through the grapevine (i work at a pharmacy, and both the pharmicists are recent grads of temple) that temple cares more about a well-rounded student. im not really sure if this is true. just what i have heard. if you hear anything about their minimum pcat scores, let me know, because i have been all over the internet trying to track that information down.

good luck!

my friend is actually in her first year there and she told me that her overall gpa was a 3.3 and pcat was 82. im in the same boat as u, mystical. i emailed the pharmacy admissions lady about the minimum pcat and gpa but no reply yet. once i get one, ill let u kno.

i just called temple and the lady had told me that the average pcat score last year was 77 and the average gpa was 3.5. she also told me that all pre-req must be completed before admittance.

hey.. just wanted to add on.. i also know a girl in her first year there and she said that temple is pretty slow to get back to you and they are a little disorganized, that you have to be patient with them. but she did say to definatly call and make sure they recievied your application, letters of rec, and your transcript a few weeks after they send it off.

question though, does anyone know when you officially find out if you get an interview? i know that it is rolling, but do they wait until they get the bulk of their applications, in december, for example. has anyone gotten an interview from temple yet?

Actually, they are pretty fast with returning my e-mail. I e-mailed them this morning and I already got a reply. Anyways, Joan says that a competitive GPA is 3.0-4.0 and for the PCAT, it is 50% and higher.

really? then the lady i talked must misheard me or something. thanks for the heads up!

Good luck!

its important to remember too, that you probably need higher scores if you're applying from out of state, since its a state school.

i interviewed with them last year and was put on the waiting list. i think with a decent gpa and pcat you'll get in. i think you need a 3.0gpa and 50 percentile to get an interview.

and yes, you need to complete their prereq latest by the spring.

hey ldkudos, i was just wondering what your stats were, if you dont mind me asking? what was your pcat and gpa?

do you think you got waitlisted because of the interview or because of gpa and pcat?

did you end up getting in off the wait list? or did you go elsewhere? are you reapplying this year?

hope you dont mind me asking.
🙂
