Test Cancelled?!?

I can't believe this! My test was cancelled by the testing center. Anyone else have any experience with this? I've been on hold for ten+ minutes and am kinda freaking out. Plus I trust your advice more than a testing center's. 🙁

Im in the same boat!!!

The Westbury Prometric Testing Center at 865 Merrick Ave will be closed on Thursday 5/31/12 due to technical Issues.

There is nothing in NY for the 21!

Was anyone given the option of scheduling it and them allowing you to change it if something closer happens?

Well you're the 6th person I've heard of. And one person was given the chance but didn't take it. We're assuming someone else took it. That was our exact center. I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say that there's no way we'll be able to take it tomorrow. Were you told to call back in the morning to see if any seats opened?

they told me to call back in 2 to 3 days to see what happens

I'm hoping that Prometric and AAMC work something out because this is absolutely ridiculous. I've been planning on taking this exam on May 31st since February. Waiting until June 21st or later is something I'm not willing to do.

It's crazy and has me worried about whether or not I'll even be able to take this test in a reasonable amount of time. Really for me anything later than June 21st is pushing it and I'm not the world's strongest applicant as it is. I'll keep you guys posted as to what I find out in the morning but for now, the out look is pretty grim.

Just called in, they are optimistic that they will be able to get the test up and running but won't know until around 11 at which point they are going to call everyone on the roster.
