Test day of the week vs score release

Hey guys I heard for the CK the scores are released on Wednesdays (3 Wednesdays from the day of your exam).. I ve heard varying opinions on this but what is the last day of the week to get your exam in and still have it count for that weeks Wednesday?

I ve read 2 varying theories/opinions on this

1) As long as you get it in on Monday, then prometric can upload to NBME on Tuesday and it will count for that week?

2) You must take it by Friday for it to count before the following Wednesday?

From my reading last year I believed that it was 1) but a friend of my swears its 2)... I took my CK last year but this is for my wife.. I know its late but she wasnt doing well on her diags but has brought her score up to about average to above from barely passing 3 weeks ago.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

2) is correct..if you give your exam on monday-friday the result should be out on the same wednesday. ..but this doesnt apply to saturday..i was confused for a long time regarding this but this is how it works..
also the usmle.org mentions that typically it takes 3-6 weeks for the results so an unexpected delay of one week can also happen..
