sprinter will have more white fiber - big and fast, anaerobic glycolysis no mitchondrias and white cause no myoglobin

maraton runner will have red fibers

elongation of bone during which phase G1/G2

cell growth occurs during interphase while cell division occurs in mitosis.

main cause of hypertension is atherosclerosis ....so benign nephrosclerosis is also the finding in HT

for which is the first group of the following pairs more likely to be located on the surface of a globular protein than the second group of the pair?
a. -CONH2 / -COO-
b. -CH3 / -CH(CH3)2
c. -CH2OH / -NH4+
d. -CH3 / -CH2OH
e. -CH2SH / -COO

each of the following polymers is correctly paired with an activated precursor of the polymer except one. which one is the exception?
a. sucrose-dextran
b. glucose-glycogen
c. sucrose-mutan
d. udp glucose-glycogen
e. sucrose-levan

Hey

Oh no its not atherosclerosis but arteriosclerosis/hyalinization of the renal vessels.

The classical renal presentation of Essential HT is benign nephrosclerosis (Malignant Hypertension has a characteristic flea bitten renal lesion of Malignant Nephrosclerosis)

Regards,
Mayank.

PS I was randomily skimming through the beast when I saw this one Q, I thought I might just spread some wisdom... Anyway Good Luck with your NBDEs and the life ahead!

hey Mayank
nice to hear from u after a long time......every body here at SDN was keen to here from u after the exam....so,how about the results ,did u get them
pls let us know and something about ur experience of the exam
mine is in few days....just don,t know where i stand but just trying to do my best
thanks for the wishes
good luck

what is circumferential lamellae????

circumferential lamellae are the ones surrounding the haversion systems(haversion canal+concentric lamellae).they are below periosteum.
I am guessing the answer should be "e".
correct me if am wrong cos am not very sure.
