I dont know how many of you have tried these, but these passages are just extremely demoralizing and difficult.

I'll make a 9 or a 10 on aamc verbals (i've only done a few of those full lengths so far), and on these tests I'll make around a 4.?

This practice is meant to increase my score past a 9 or a 10, not demoralize me to all hell.

What in the world?

Anyone else experience this?

Me too! I score 9-11 in aamc verbal but mostly 9 or 10. I tried TS 2 and scored 23/40 (where do I get the scaled score?). They are hard as hell!!! I cannot even finish them on time.

I'm planing on taking until TS5 and then TS 1 in the end, which I heard are realistic to aamc/real deal. I'm trying to not care about score at all and just think that it will help me prepare to any kind of convoluted passage they will throw at us..I feel like if i feel demoralized, it will further reduce my confidence which makes it worse.

Today TS 3 with GS 9 sciences! How many of TS verbals have you done?

That was my 3rd one , and honestly that was the hardest one yet, but I havent done particuarly well on any one of them. Honestly, I think they've made me worse on the aamc's.

To elucidate, I usually get a 9 or a 10 on Kaplans and on the one aamc i've taken, but after I practiced with Testing solutions, I literally got a 6.

I know this was written 2 years ago, but I am feeling the same way. I feel like none of the answers are standing out, and when I read the summary of at the end, about what the passage was about I'm like "I got that" but then I get to the questions and I always end up choosing the wrong answer, especially for Test 4, I thought I was getting better on T3, now I wanna give up! Do you have any advice on what you found worked for you? Did you end up doing well on the CARS section on the real Mcat?

What specifically makes it demoralizing? We are creating MCAT prep materials and I would love your insight. We definitely don't want to be demoralizing. I think sometimes people take their knowledge for granted and don't realize how to simplify it for others who haven't handled that subject area or reasoning technique for as long as they have. Thoughts?
