Texas DPT Applications/Interviews

Im waiting on a couple schools in Texas (Texas Tech, UTSA, UNT and UTMB) to contact me back. Got one response from Hardin Simmons (Interview Tomorrow). I know its pretty early to expect anything, but im just worried about Texas Tech.

I turned in their application before the early deadline in Sept. heard some people already had interviews and I haven't heard any word from them yet. Its kind of worring me but Im also a "worry"er. Is there anyone from Texas Tech HSC with some advice or other information??

To my knowledge UTSA doesnt have a DPT prgm...

Congratulations on your interview with Hardin Simmons!

Waiting is the worst. I am a worrier too and have been having nightmares. Hopefully we'll find out soon. I didn't apply to Texas Tech but I applied to UTHSC in San Antonio, Texas State, and Angelo State. Your GPA is higher than mine so you should be in good shape. I'll let you know if I hear from San Antonio.

To my knowledge UTSA doesnt have a DPT prgm...

Yeah, a lot of people often mistake UTHSCSA with UTSA. We're completely different entities, despite both belonging to the UT System.

In terms of applying, if you applied to UTHSCSA you should be hearing around early-mid December if you're granted an interview. Hope to see some of you during the interview process! It'll be fun!

yes, i applied to TX State & UTHSC-SA as well....did anyone else see the post on UTHSC-SA having been put on probation?? Im not sure if that is for the Medical school (as in MDs) or as in the ENTIRE medical school.

The medical school. It should not affect the current accreditation status of the DPT program. However, I would recommend looking over their curriculum again to see if it's to your liking.

I got a interview with Texas Tech., They called me at the beginning of this month. My interview date is November 4th. I also got a interview at UTMB. Super happy. But I have to pass physics first. =(

You can pass Physics. It's miserable but you can do it!

Got My interview date also and its the same day. Nov 4th but at the Amarillo campus. Glad I finally got their response. :]

Have those of you who had an interview at Tech heard anything back from them yet? I interviewed almost a month and a half ago and still haven't heard anything. I know it hasn't been too terribly long, but I am so antsy about it lol

Nope. I have not heard yet. Getting pretty nervous also but I think they should be letting us know soon many early Dec.

Just heard back from Texas Tech Yesterday!! I'm In!! at the Lubbock Campus! Hope your hear good news from them soon!

Congratulations! I got in at the Amarillo campus! I kind of wish I would have put Lubbock as my campus preference but Amarillo is cheaper. 🙂) Yay us

Looks like a few people got accepted to Texas Tech. I was accepted at the Lubbock campus. Talk about weight off the shoulders sitting around waiting to hear from someone!! Congrats!

Has anyone received an email or letter from UTHSC about interviews?

They said that they would make their decisions in mid-December but I haven't heard anything.

neither have I, but I had to wait to send them a transcript for a class that I was finishing...
