Hey all,
I was wondering what Texas DPT programs accept ONLY the higher grade in repeated courses. I believe some take the average of the two (PTCAS schools) while others will take the higher grade of the two, trashing the lower grade. Correct? I'm interested in knowing this before I consider retaking the few C's I have in my pre-reqs/sciences so quick feedback is greatly appreciated!

Additional question that wouldn't hurt either: Most Texas DPT schools count the last 60 hours towards your degree (I know some vary, taking the last 45 or 90 hours), BUT do any of them factor courses taken post-graduation into the last 60 hours?

Texas Woman's University took my post-grad credits in their last 60 units calculation. I think most schools do it that way, because they want to consider your most recent coursework.

Sorry I don't know the answer to your grade replacement question.

I know that TWU takes the latest (not necessarily highest) grade for any repeated courses, but they say that competitive applicants to their program have not repeated any courses. I don't know about any of the other programs.

FYI, I did have some repeated courses, though they were not prerequisites, and got into TWU through early decision. So it's definitely still worth applying there, even if you have repeated courses, if everything else on the application is strong.
