Hi everyone, I wanted to see what my chances in Texas would be. I'm a little worried about my MCAT score being too low for MD schools.

GPA: 3.85

sGPA: 3.75

MCAT: 507 (128,125,127,127)

Research experience and I have one manuscript being prepared for publication in the next few weeks

Leadership position in on-campus organization

~150 hours of clinical volunteering

Internship with the department of public health doing some infectious disease epidemiology work

Texas resident

You should receive several interviews from your Texas schools since you have a good GPA. Your MCAT is above the 10th percentile for all schools except Dell and Southwestern.

I would add more clinical volunteering hours, shadowing a PCP, and nonclinical volunteering hours for those less fortunate. Your current ECs are kinda light.
