I ranked UTSW no. 1 (no prematch offer) and tried to login, but it said I wasn't authorized. (It's a different message than when you use wrong user/pass.)
 
So conclusions

1.) Potato is pulling a fast one and laughing his ass off right now. If that is the case, kudos Potato, you made me poop my pants.

2.) UTSW got smart after last year and fixed this glitch.

3.) UTSW is really not participating in the match, as JayHawk reported several weeks ago.

4.) This is a weird dream, and I am actually drooling on my lab bench right now in my 2PM nap.

5.) Everything is the same from last year and we didn't get in. *sob
 
Potato's not messing with y'alls. It did work last year. UTSW also screwed up last year, because the people in the DFW area got their acceptance packages the day of the match (or the day before, rather), which totally ruined the whole wait-for-midnight-and-check-frantically thing.

Not that I minded. 🙂
 
OH ROFL ok well that means I left out a conclusion:

LOLZ can't believe i forgot that one. Damned hope get out of my system before you kill me on Thursday morning
 
Lyricist what you make of the early reports from JayHawk that say UTSW is not participating in the match? Have you heard anything like that thru the grapevine?

And I'm trying hard not to sleep. I am filling in BS in my notebook though b/c our experiment from last week didnt work

I haven't heard anything like that, but I wouldn't necessarily hear about something like that if it was true, so I'm sorry, I don't have a definitive answer for you.

On the UTH site, I tried using various combos of my TMDSAS pin, password, and SSN on different login pages...to no avail, of course.

But, just for laughs, look at what I found on there (I hope the link works. If not, I'll fix it.):

Apparently, you're supposed to send the above document anonymously to your fellow UTHers (kinda like a really cruel Valentine), but if I get into UTH, I'm gonna send out a few just to mess w/people.:meanie:

:laugh: Putting a checkmark on underwear and anything other than 'visible' yields a pretty amusing combination.

for example:
your underwear is/are inappropriately tight-fitting, malodorous, worn out, etc
 
I was so excited for 12:01am on the 15th.... but reading TMDSAS their announcement reads 12:01am central time....

I totally forgot that means 1:01am for me!!!!!!!!!! Another hour.....

Well if it comes out at midnight in texas, and not till 1 am whereever you are, at midnight, call someone in texas and have them log you in and check. You will find out an hour earlier than everyone near you!

I'll do it for you. Gimme ur info plz

I just realized that, even if UTH doesn't accept me, I can always download and use this form as a joke. Hell, I might even send one to Dr. Kellaway and the docs that interviewed me! (My plan of revenge is only just beginning! *insert long, crazy laugh*):laugh:

BTW, did you see the part that said "cleavage"? LMAO!! I'll send that one to some totally flat-chested girl. :meanie: (Having zero cleavage myself, I know I would find that one pretty damned funny.)😛

If that worked I'd do it.... but midnight in Texas IS 1am eastern time. So it's really the same. I just hadn't thought the time difference till today.

Hey. I am a new member. I also interviewed at Southwestern but I didn't hear anything about a login for interviewees. I aslo just called the admissions office and the lady didn't know what I was talking about. How did you all get those.

Last year a very studly and tuberous SDNer found a backdoor way of figuring out early if you got accepted/matched at UTSW.

Go to this URL and using your interviewee login and password, try logging into some of the applications, like the Housing Info page. The Big Sib one might not work like last year. In 2006, everyone who was able to log in ended up matching.

Of course, we need positive controls here, so those of you with pre-match acceptances, see what happens when you go to that page. Also keep in mind the admissions system is a little different this year, so things may not be as exactly as they were last cycle.

I am able to log in (positive control).
 
When you got your invitation email to interview at UTSW, it should have included a link to page where you set up a login name and password. You needed to log in to confirm your interview date. So if you interviewed, you must have already a login and password.

Use the link potato gave you to go to some of UTSW's pages and use that login name and password you used to confirm your interview and see what happens.

lol, I am filling this lab notebook of mine (still in lab) with a load of crap. Our gel didn't show any cuts with the restriction enzyme, so I had to look up these cuts and use that webcutter thing.. I just want to get out of here. Its uspposed to snow here also, some crazy storm, but so far nothing

I'm using the UserID and Password from the interview status page.

Don't use the ones you used for your secondary, those are different.

Pre-match offer here... worked for me! Although I tried it a few weeks ago (after I was in) and it didn't work.

I can still log into my interview page, but no dice on that other link... which one of those things are you clicking on... any of them? I tried the MS4 blog I think and no dice.

Edit: nevermind, they are diff names, and no stil ldont work

OK, it makes sense now. I got notifyed less than a week before my interview. The admiss. office lady that called asked if I was coming to my interview. I said what interview and she asked "you didn't get the e-mail." To make a long story short, I accepted over the phone and went to interview that Saturday completely unaware of the whole login and accept step. Thanks for the help. 🙂

I wonder if I can still get one and check....
Did I miss anything important by not having a login. I hope not....🙁

OMG

maybe there is some sort of delay btw offering acceptance and "activating" your account so you can log in

The only way to disprove this would be to have someone who logs in w/o prematch and they get in... OR perhaps they aren't matching this year as speculated earlier...

I don't know...it seems to me like it would be a waste of time for them as of now not to participate in the match. All interviews are over, and MS0 day is already scheduled. Hopefully they are, we don't want some people to go insane waiting for an acceptance AFTER the match.

A quick question, a little off-subject, but oh well...

Is there anyone w/a prematch offer who still has a Validation of 000000 ? ...or who had no LMFU close to the time of the offer?

Edit: I ask b/c I have a VD of 000000 (but I actually had an LMFU one week after each of my interviews)

I didn't have a validation date until two weeks after the offer.

Sorry if you have a profile thingy on here...I'm embarrassed to say that I have not been able to figure out how to look up ppl's info! 😳

Edit: I mean, I can see the SDN profile thing, but not wherever it is that ppl put in their interviews, acceptances, etc.

Ok so I am wondering if there is anyone without a prematch offer that has a validation date. It seems that everyone with a prematch offer has a validation date. It also seems that everyone without a validation date did not get a prematch offer. I am just saying this because there may be another reason other than the no match. Maybe a 0000 validation is for those without a prematch.

I'm soooooooo tempted to call TMDSAS and ask them if a Validation of 000000 means no match. Sometimes someone innocent/unjaded/nice answers the phone and actually spills a bean or two. 😀

Yep, early on in this thread, a bunch of *totally conflicting* stories were flying around. I didn't even interview at UTSW, and I even got hooked on reading about all the drama. :laugh:

Edit: To answer ur Q, yes ppl called and got different stories.

someone did call a few pages back about the validation date. according to what was said over the phone, it has no correlation to acceptance or rejection.

edit: i found it.
