Where are you in Texas?? No snow for us. 🙁

I'm in school in the northern part of the US. It is seriously cold here.

I also got some more deferrels from non-TMDSAS schools, so I have a lot riding on this match!

Why do so many people favor Dallas over Houston (just city wise, not talking about schools)? I've been to both and I still think Houston > Dallas. Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat as most of you guys. I've been so anxious about the match this week I can't concentrate on anything. (3 interviews, no acceptances yet, but hoping for one tonight of course) 🙄

It's snow day, no school and I'm stuck here in my room thinking about match day.. ahhh... SDN is totally saving me because none of my friends are from Texas and they have no idea what the Match is.

We'll take care of you, Trev! 😉 Just let those guys bask in the bliss of their ignorance. Their day will too come. 🙂

Maybe this has been posted already. If you don't match but instead get waitlisted/deferred or rejected outright, what does it say next to "School Matched"?

Thanks pitupitu, I hope I can soon be back in Texas! I personally prefer Houston over Dallas because that's where I'm from. However, it is just more advantageous for me to go to Dallas since my parents live like 30 min away from TMC and I'd rather not see them every day of the week...

it would say "Did Not Match" and the schools themselves would then contact you if you are on the waiting list...

What do you mean, "if" you get on the waiting list. Doesn't everyone automatically get on the waiting list??

Unfortunately, no...check out the waitlist thread from last year. I ended up calling schools the next day to see if I was on their waitlist. UTH had around 175 people on their waitlist last year, and only accepted a few off of it. PM me if you want more info...

In fact, I was just thinking of going and taking a 1/2 dose of a muscle relaxant that I have left-over from a 2002 car accident. I also have some newer Vicodin...and some even newer Ambien... lol I sound like a friggin' druggie!

But they're all old meds (and prescribed to me for valid reasons), which proves that I am not a junkie! I'm just soooo nervous!!🙁

I"m super jealous of anyone that can hold down their chocolate right now. Pepto Bismol for me.
