Just for you conspiracy theorists...

I just got into TCOM, and my LMFU changed on 9.16 and then changed again on 11.10. It could have changed in October, but I don't remember checking it.

It looks like Y_marker and runningmom also had them change 11/10 and they got into TCOM. Baylormed was 11/09.

mine was 10/24. as someone mentioned before, i really don't think there's any correlation.

Probably not, but conspiracies are fun. I don't see why everyone would have to have the same LMFU date for each school. It isn't like the medical schools decided to accept all of the applicants on the same day. They may update each accepted applicant's file after the adcom committee meets. One good way to determine this is to see if everyone who has interviewed has had a change in LMFU after their interview date. If so, then LMFU probably doesn't mean anything for the new rolling admissions, as not everyone that interviews gets in (unfortunately).
 
Does anyone's Tech status page show "Complete/Pending for Final Transcript" besides their school's transcript? Are we suppose to send in our transcript directly to Tech like we have to do for Baylor?
 
My Tech page says the same thing... I dont think we send them final transcripts until the end of this Spring semester (if we have been accepted). Anyone's status change from interviewed to something else??
 
I keep forgetting that the schools without status pages exist.

Big shout out to UTMB, UTH, and TAMU.

Just wanted to let people know...heard from an excellent source that UTMB is sending acceptance emails out tonight at 12:05

Great. Now I won't be be able to sleep; instead I will spend all night contemplating my innumerable shortcomings.

Edit applicable if person who posted about UTMB is jesting: Sigh, I am desperate and gullible and very very vulnerable right now. It's a good time to take advantage of me.
 
Not sure I should say as that might give my buddies identity away....but it should be true. I have nothing to gain from this comment seeing as I have not interviewed at UTMB. I just thought people might want to know

ya, i understand...I just found this news out though. I've read the thread for a long time now and I figured I would pass the info on since everyone is anxious. Goodluck to those that interviewed at UTMB

I loved that South Park episode! I always knew something was up with the Hardy Boys.

My LMFU is 10/16, the day that my MCAT score came out. I interviewed at TCOM a week later.

Did they really say exactly 12:05? That seems a little fishy... Why not 12:00 or 12:10?

damn you chaeymaey...i won't find out if i get into TCOM for another 2 to 6 months. congrats though, i just hope i can join y'all next year.
 
also, you don't want to reveal your 'buddy's' identity, but you aren't willing to say whether or not they are affiliated with utmb in any way or if they are just a fellow applicant

They are affiliated with UTMB
go ahead and call my bluff...I just thought this was actually worthwhile news to pass on. Don't shoot me if i'm wrong, but this is directly from someone affiliated with the school

While it seems like it is true that someone told you this, it just doesn't make too much sense. I doubt that any Medical School would make some poor bastard stay around until 12:05 to send out emails when they can just do it the next day. I hope that I am wrong, however (and that I get an email at 12:05, which is only a little over an hour away 😱 )

P.S. Congrats to all of the TCOM acceptees!

the university of michigan texted applicants at 1200 on oct 15th...its not that farfetched...besides you can email from home...they could have them ready and just have to push send

scratch that, i found the status page. being in the postbac program, i am "still under review." damn you all.
 
I absolutely cannot believe it, I am officially accepted to Medical School. I feel so lucky, looking forward to four years of hard work, a few more of residency, and life thereafter!!!!!


Congrats to everyone else who has/will find out this week!
