If you plan to apply to the Texas MD schools you need to submit your application in the next week and all your secondaries by late September. If you are planning to apply to DO schools submit before the end of September and apply broadly to at least 8 schools and include TCOM and UIWSOM.

You have good chances to get in somewhere in Texas. I'd say the bigger issue might be your citizenship status.

the MCAT 3x won't be as big of an issue as you might think.

You're the UTSCSA guy. I saw your post on the app feed :) I really want to get in there! Awesome program. My SO is there also.

Haha that's me! We have quite a few engineers in our class. It's kind of a late application cycle right now to apply. So if you decide to submit soon, then you need to make sure you have this year to spend meaningfully so that if you have to reapply (higher chances the later you submit), you can show that you spent this year productively.
