Hey so I've noticed a lot of people post stuff about applying to east coast and west coast schools and not a lot of Texas people are on here. Just seeing if anyone has received any notices or interviews with Texas schools or has been accepted to any this far ahead. 🙂 I applied to 8 Texas schools and I just wanted to see where they are within their application process!

I'm a first year student at TWU, so let me know if you have any questions. Last year, they notified early acceptances in late September, and for regular admission they notified people in late January I believe. Feel free to email the program, as they're really good about responding and answering questions.

I've actually seen quite a lot of Texas students and applicants on these forums.

Yea I just felt that there wasn't enough compred to other schools. But then again most texas schools don't go through PTCAS and early deadlines for some schools are not for awhile. Did you do the early application for TWU?

I'm waiting to hear back from TWU about Early Decision, do you think it would be rude to email Mary Beth to see if she has some idea of when we'll hear back about whether we've been accepted or pushed to general admission?

Yes, I got in last year through early acceptance. I think I got the phone call on Sep 23 or 24. Definitely don't hesitate to email Mary Beth about it. She's very friendly and great about responding to applicant questions. I emailed her a ton of questions last year!

I emailed Mary Beth last night and she already got back to me, that's pretty awesome. She told me I would probably be in the 2nd round of Early Decisions that find out by late October. She said my GPA was fine, but I missed the GRE score cut off for first round. She said the cut off was 154/154 and 4.5.

My GRE score was 158V/151Q and 4.0, so close! Lol.

I didn't realize they did two different rounds of early decision. Is TWU your first choice? Which campus did you apply to?
