Some schools specifically ask you not to send thank you notes. For the others, sending one won't help you (as your interview evaluation has long since been submitted), but if you were raised to acknowledge folks who went out of their way on your behalf, it shows good manners to send one. Thus, asking for contact information for this purpose is fine. Consider not asking the interviewer, though, as they probably won't have business cards on their person (at least, I never do). Instead ask the Admissions Office personnel or look it up in the school's Find People database.What's the etiquette with sending interviewers thank you letters? Apparently they wait list every one post interview and only send acceptances to the ones that send letters of intent or thank you letters.
