to send thank you cards do you sent it to the school or your specific interviewers? is it letter or email? actually has anyone even done this?

i am not trying to brown-nose....no, yes I am. I want to just say thank you and have them somewhat remember me. So.....

i did this. On some schools i sent via mail (the ones that didnt give out business cards) and others i sent via email.

shizznet, are u supposed to do this????

I sent a thank u letter to my interviewer, she gave me her card. I sent it via e-mail, but nothing official to the school.

If you are thankful for having interviewed and if you appreciate the time and thought involved in a hand-written note, then write a thank you note and drop it in the mail. If you are thankful and don't find any sentimental value in a hand-written note, then type up an e-mail. If you are thankful and think thank-you notes are for losers, then don't write one at all (you interviewer probably won't even notice -- which might be good then for the people who did send a letter because that millisecond of rememberance can only put you ahead). If you are not thankful ... then ... well, good luck to ya. 😉

yea i goofed on this one i never got a card, i have the name of the woman who interviewed but cant find her email blahh i hope they dont think thats me being disinterested that school is my top choice!!!

send an email to the interviewer directly. in the letter, thank the interviewers, tour guides, presenters, and adcoms for blah blah. then brown nose.

Some schools sent me thank you very much notes for having me there!! I'm waiting for more thank you notes.

I strongly recommend thank-you notes, but I've said that in some of the many threads that are out on the topic.

back to THIS thread, I think it's best to send it to your individual interviewer(s). Also, if you felt that the dean of admissions or a particular secretary was super helpful, it's always good to show your thanks! Remember that everyone is on the adcom!

If you don't remember everyone (I didn't remember ANYONE), it's totally cool to call the receptionist and ask who your interviewers were. They'll look it up for that day and give you all the correct spellings and all that. 😉 Sure, it takes some humility, but it's worth it and they think it's funny!

I slipped my interviewers a Franklin on the way out, ditto with admissions director. Nothing else need be said. 😉
