So today I had a great interview for the Cornell Travelers program. My student mentor from Cornell has told me that it is polite to send a thank you note to your interviewer and he gave me my interviewers email. This was my first "official" interview of any kind and so I am not quite sure how to approach this note. I assume I should just say thank you for taking the time out to interview me, blah blah but what else do i say? Would it be bad to say I hope I hear from the program soon? My interviewer was a 1st year medical student and so I am not sure how formal to make it. It seemed like a good interview but a good thank you note cannot hurt. Advice on what to put in a thank you note so as not to be too generic/ eager/ phony? Thanks 🙂
