So after interviewing I sent my interviewers thank you letters. Since getting accepted though, I feel compelled to thank them again since if they didn't say good things about me to the ADCOM I probably wouldn't have been accepted.

Have any of you done this? Is it a waste of their time to have another email in their inbox?

I didn't personally do this, but I feel like a quick "Hey thanks" is fine because they did literally change the course of your whole life!

I'd think that a thank you note would be fine.

I would imagine a "thank you" note with the intention of updating your interviewers in regards to your acceptance would be fine, and maybe appreciated by your interviewers. I'm sure they'd like to hear that an interviewee of whom they wrote a supportive letter to the committee about was accepted.

Congrats on your MD acceptance! Which one did you get into?

Just don't put any gift cards or money in the card OP lol.

And congratz man, what school?

Keeping it to myself for a bit in light of the recent ACOM situation. I don't think I've said anything on SDN that would jeopardize my acceptance, but I'm paranoid.

We give interviewers an update on the outcome of their applicants. Generally, I'm not in favor of "thank you" notes, but in this case it's perfectly acceptable!
