Anyone here who is green, and is going to take the new MCAT.The new biology and psychology requirements seem cool. How do you veterans and newbies like me feel about it? *Sorry, 2015 MCAT*

That's what gets me. I feel like the class of 2016 is the guinea pig for this test.I wonder how repeat takers and those who postponed a year to take it recieve and prepare on this.

Original. How much thought did you put in to troll on this?

I see you're new here. Look up the meaning of "troll".

Also, I had typed a response for another thread on here so I deleted it. You're welcome. You can buy me dinner sometime.

No, you can do something with your medical student lifestyle. I'm sure you can afford a double cheeseburger just fine.

It's all relative, bro. Everyone else is taking the same damn MCAT that year so in theory, everyone should be equally screwed!

Then again, those that take the "old MCAT" in 2014 have a bit of an advantage I guess.

All I can say is I'm glad I dodged that bullet. I'd be a nervous wreck.

I can't imagine how panicked Kaplan and TPR etc will be a year up to that test. Their test experts will be sitting for the test for the first time the same day their students take it. Scary stuff.

Seems like I've dodged the bullet on new standardized tests three times now. In HS I graduated right before they added new sections onto the SAT, in 2010 I passed my ARRT boards right before they mandated retaking the registry to stay current, and now I'm just barely avoiding new material on the MCAT.

Lol, I get what you mean. It sucks that I will have more course load though. I have to take 4+ classes extra at my college for the MCAT. Three psychology, and two extra biology( micro & molecular) are suspose to be on the new one.

I wonder how schools are going to compare candidates with scores coming from 2 different versions of MCAT

Question of the century. What will the average score of the new one be , I wonder.

It's not the first time this (or other tests) have been changed/adapted and test prep companies have adapted in the past. I'm sure they'll do just fine (even if the first year is a little more rough).

More than likely drop scores altogether and look at percentile rankings.
