I stumbled upon this showtime sitcom called The Big C that revolves around a mother that has stage 4 melanoma. The show gives the viewers a glimpse into the tough lives of those affected by cancer. I honestly would recommend the show to those interested in medicine or any healthcare field in general.

Sounds depressing

It's like a normal show that revolves around a woman's disease. This includes the doctor's visits, trying to get into a clinical trial, paying for their healthcare bills. The show focuses more on the life of someone affected by cancer-the actual manifestations of the disease are not covered that much. She has a scar but its not like she's at the hospital 24/7. I think it brings good perspective to future healthcare practitioners

Yeah, MAYBE the first season is like this, but the second and then definitely they third stray from this and it just becomes basically a regular drama/comedy 30 min TV show.
