The show focuses more on the life of someone affected by cancer-the actual manifestations of the disease are not covered that much. She has a scar but its not like she's at the hospital 24/7. I think it brings good perspective to future healthcare practitioners

Yeah, MAYBE the first season is like this, but the second and then definitely they third stray from this and it just becomes basically a regular drama/comedy 30 min TV show.
