just venting, i got the thin letter with the slap in the face today.

i'm doing horrible in this process.

has anyone been rejected at yale yet?

nope, no interview either.

i just talked to u pittsburgh and they said my file is still 'under consideration' and the latest i'll hear from them is the end of january or early feb. does that mean if i don't get an interview then at that time i'm rejected?

yea, cornell sucks. they rejected me too recently but to be honest i dont really care for that school. Their 1st/2nd yr curriculum is sh1t and a lot of 1st yrs who have posted on SDN are very unhappy over there.

Yeah, I got my thin letter yesterday, but it was the rejection that hurt least I think, because I never really saw anything special about Cornell anyway.

i was also disappointed not to even receive an interview there...they were the one school on my list that declined to interview me...so im despondent about my chances at other "similar" schools on my list now...grrrr....o well...ill be happy wherever i end up for sure! their loss u guys!

If Cornell actually sucked, this thread wouldn't be here. I sure don't see threads about Drexel sucking followed by a list of rejections.

That said, Cornell is notoriously hard to get into so there's no need to feel bad or worry about chances elsewhere. Good luck at your other choice schools

WHAT? THEY SENT YOU A REJECTION LETTER? I haven't gotten anything yet from them. Last year, Drexel didn't even bother rejecting me. They just send me lots of crap from other programs. I FEEL SO USED AND VIOLATED.

did they bother to seal your envelope? my roommate got a thin one from cornell a couple of days ago and they never even licked the glue...

what exactly makes them overrated? The challenging basic science curriculum? The incredible clinical partners? The opportunity to rotate through Lincoln's trauma center or do research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering? Their huge endowment that translates into substantially less debt? Their fabulous match history? The opportunity to live in NYC? Yeah, sounds pretty damn overrated to me. If you thought so little of the school, why did you waste your time and money applying? Whining about how much a school "sucks" just because you haven't been accepted is incredibly childish...
