No offense, but you are a bunch stupid f***s, and this current Democratic-controlled government sucks. You can't even catch a guy on a known terrorist watch list who exhibited all the classic signs of someone up to no good. Your solution: punish every man, woman, and child who poses absolutely no risk.

Keep it up. And, me and all my doctor buddies are going to move to New Zealand. Then, who's going to run your f***ed-up healthcare system in this country? A bunch of Arabs trained in Saudi Arabia?

I agree 100% on this. Personal attacks meant to silence a debate/discussion are an all to common tactic by people (not saying you Plank) who really don't want a debate or discussion of a particular topic.

It's easier to call people names in an attempt to silence them.....

That's not it.

It's very easy for someone to show up on a thread and claim that people or content are "illiterate" or "******ed" (which, is, at best, poor word choice in and of itself and, in the very least, factually and clearly untrue).

Or, on another thread, to do a drive-by post claiming people are "*****s" or "idiots" without really addressing any of the content of the discussion or adding anything to the discourse. It doesn't elucidate anything. It doesn't drive the discussion forward. It only shows little babyish immaturity and mental laziness on the part of the drive-by shooter.

In fact, this tactic is quite simply called argumentum ad hominem, and it is the cheapest and basest form of logical fallacy in any debate.

How about if you don't have anything of value to add on the thread or want to frame a counterpoint, you simply STFU, keep your valueless personal opinions about the posters making a valid cogent argument that you don't happen to agree with to yourself, and don't post at all?
