The Dark Knight

I downloaded the bootleg. People need to stop smoking so much damned crack. It was one of the better Batman movies, but I can't fathom how it could possibly be considered anything more than that. The hype is ridiculously unwarranted. It's a freakin' Batman movie, people....Christ....

Forever the pessimist...

Really though dude I know you joke around a lot but your negativity is not very becoming of you. I seriously don't think you have said one nice thing on this forum, EVER. Flame on.

Agreed. The only reason people are flocking to an otherwise crappy hollywood production is the fact that one of the actors is dead and we have some sort of morbid fascination with it.

Hey! Don't be hatin' on WVU. And when you make such blanket statements, do your research first - search his 4000+ posts (if you can) before you conclude that he has not said a single nice thing on SDN. Immaturity is not very becoming of you, either.

Really? I went because I enjoyed "Batman Begins" .. and didn't read much into Heath Ledger stuff...

I guess I just proved you wrong.

Of course the Prodcution company really values your opinion on this crappy movie.... yet they'll be laughing all the way to the bank..which includes your money.

I guess you lose.

What do you consider a good movie?

Congratulations on your lack of taste. I could care less what you think! BTW, I didn't pay for my ticket.

Did you run out of threads to threadjack, "dood"?

What's "prodcution" mean?

What's "prodcution" mean?

Really... you could care less? Or did you mean "couldn't care less?" Because if you "could care less," you care some... And that touches my heart.

So..if you're going to pick out a typo...then make sure your grammar is correct..

:meanie:

You get my meaning, though, don't you?

Let me rephrase: I don't care what you think.

Let me rephrase: I don't care what you think.

:meanie::meanie:

Now we all know you didn't know how to properly use the phrase "couldn't care less..."

At any rate, sure, you care some... because if you didn't care what I thought.. you shouldn't have felt the need to respond to my reply...

But the 'prodcution' company appreciates your time well spent watching the movie.

👍

Again, what does "prodcution" mean?

My time was not well spent as I walked out after the Joker blew up the hospital...I was bored beyond belief.

Sorry, but I thought it was a really bad movie. I'm glad you thought it was so swell.

I really love how you attack opinions. It's funny. 😴

Well loo...when posting on an anonymous forum, you generally take it with a grain of salt that others actually care about your opinion...

Hey Spiriva---nope, I've never made the assumption that others care about my opinion!

Did I disappoint you?

Nah. I respond because you'll eventually do one of two things:

1. Threadjack
2. Post some asinine picture

I don't care at all. Go get some exercise, desk jockey.

Nope!

But what I meant to say was....

When posting on an anonymous forum, you generally take it with a grain of salt that others actually care about our own opinions

Hmmm. That's no fun. Let's fight! Let's believe that we actually believe our opinions!

STOP YOUR INFERNAL THREADJACKING:laugh:

Oh is that right? Would you like to wager?

I don't care at all. Go get some exercise, desk jockey.

hmmmm... for someone who doesn't care at all, what do you care if I exercise or not?

I'm gladyou thought it was so swell.

You said you didn't care what I think... yet you're glad about what I thought... hmmm.. I think you care..:meanie:

I really love how you attack opinions. It's funny. 😴

And you love the way I attack opinions!! 😍

Man..for someone who "could care less" you really do display emotions beyond your comprehension!!

:meanie:

Just hangin' out drinking a daiquiri. Funny people... y'all are makin' me laugh... checking out a local Mexican restaurant in a bit... maybe Mexican beer... chips... salsa... 😀

Maybe if you would have actually read what I said you would have noted the "I don't think he has posted one positive thing... blah blah" ... So save me your speech on immaturity douche bag, I wasn't being literal.

I don't have anything personal against WVU, sometimes I think what he says is rather comical but I just hate it when people flood the market with negativity, about EVERYTHING. I'm not saying he had to like the movie but don't insinuate that everyone who liked it were idiots..... or that everyone who works in retail made a "pathetic career choice" ... thats all I'm saying. Everyone has a right to an opinion but when you judge other's opinions then its a problem. Respect me and I'll respect you.

Douche bag. I've never been called that before. Props on being the first.

...You are right, respect is reciprocal. And you just lost mine.

Everyone has a right to an opinion but when you judge other's opinions then its a problem.

Then one must assume, given the comments you made earlier in the thread, that you have a problem with yourself.

Also, I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist. Big difference. For instance, Dave & Buster's is awesome. I have no problem with this assertion. Because Dave & Buster's, in reality, is the bomb diggity. At the same time, the aforementioned movie sucks because, in reality, it was the most undeservedly overhyped thing I've seen in a long time. Predictable as hell. I knew how the first little bank heist scene was going to play out about 3 seconds into it based on the obvious point the dialogue was heading towards.

It's a movie with the intellectual depths of a guy who can take on 40 "bad guys" at once while delivering some catchy phrase. It is what it is. As a mindless Summer flick, fine, it's a fun time.....whatever. But people are going WAAAAAAY over the top on this one. It's, like, rated #3 of all time on IMDB.com or some crap. People, this isn't f'ing Kubrick or Scorsese here. It's not even on the level of planned aesthetic mindlessness like Tarantino. It's a BATMAN movie, people.

Never needed it or even wanted it for that matter. 😀

See you just don't get it man.. I didn't have a problem with you for disliking the movie - as a matter of fact you are entitled to it and should express it on a public forum. However, that doesn't mean you insult others in the process of expressing that opinion. All you had to say was you thought it was over-hyped, not that us "idiots" should have our heads examined for actually enjoying a SIMPLE movie such as Batman. Anyways, its really no big deal - I just don't understand people like yourself who suck the fun out of everything. I'm sure other people feel this way about posts like that but just don't have the spine to say anything because they are scared to get on someone's bad side. By all means don't take it personal, just an observation from a mere peasant... feel free to disregard.

WOW! You are so original. Did you think of that all on your own?

Seriously though... Did you?
No I didn't, and you are sooooo smart for detecting that. My brain was replaced by a cyborg from the future. I am totally and utterly incapable of original thought.

Thats about the smartest thing that has come out of your mouth this whole thread... CONGRATS!

But you are still judging my opinion. I never called anyone an idiot...I said you all need to lay off the crack. Which is the only way I can fathom anyone coming to the conclusion that this movie was "transcendent."

Also, I am an *******. With a following, interestingly. Plan your travels through these forums accordingly.

However, that doesn't mean you insult others in the process of expressing that opinion.

Which is what you are doing right now. It's an interesting little conundrum, huh? Kinda like if I called YOU pretentious, it's kind of ironic because "pretentious" is a pretentious word in and of itself.

All you had to say was you thought it was over-hyped, not that us "idiots" should have our heads examined for actually enjoying a SIMPLE movie such as Batman.

Ok, that's fine. AS a mindless summer flick it works. Odd...getting a sense of Deja Vu.....wait.....JUST LIKE I WROTE ABOVE. But, again, don't tell me it's some unbelievable work of art....because it isn't.

Anyways, its really no big deal - I just don't understand people like yourself who suck the fun out of everything.

Actually, you're the one that got all pissed off because he/she can't handle another person's opinion. We were having a good spirited pissing match until you showed up. That's what we do. Most of us enjoy it.

I'm sure other people feel this way about posts like that but just don't have the spine to say anything because they are scared to get on someone's bad side.

Interestingly, me and Priapism used to be like that....but he "gets" me now. He understands that I'm just legitimately a tad bit crazy.....and brutally honest.

By all means don't take it personal, just an observation from a mere peasant... feel free to disregard.

So now you go from a person with the the astute observatory power of Freud himself to a peasant? C'mon, have some confidence in your amateur psychoanalysis.

me & my boyfriend were talking the other day about who the next villain will be. we were thinking it's probably the Riddler b/c the guy who was gonna tell who batman's identity is (the worker who found the drawings of the bat mobile). my b/f said he thinks his name is the same name as the riddler.

it does make sense tho if they do remake the movie that had poisen ivy, riddler and mr. freeze. that movie was just too family friendly and cheezy. also we were saying that since batman no longer has his love interest, poisen ivy would probably play in nicely.

The Riddler's name is Edward Nigma, not Coleman Reese. Although, it wouldn't suprise me if the Reese character does become Riddler since in the Batman universe, Riddler figures out Batman's identity.

If you think about it, the Riddler would be the best villain for the next film - I mean, look what they were able to do with the Joker character. With the Riddler, they've got so much potential to make a really good crime film with Batman finally doing some hardcore detetctive work. They could make the Riddler character just as twisted and dark as Joker, but his crimes would be more complex. As for his love interest, I think the Catwoman would fit nicely into Nolan's realistic portrayal fo the Batman universe - poison Ivy, could probably work but not as good as Catwoman.

You and I both know its not just this thread.. Things you have said about retail pharmacy in the past... "pathetic career choice"... Ring a bell? I think your just a miserable person who wants everyone who actually sees the world in a beautiful light, to be as miserable as yourself. I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you because honestly I have nothing to prove or gain from it. Do you realize that by saying the "brutally honest" things that you do, and when I say brutal I mean insulting really, that your failing yourself as a professional? That is to say when you take the Oath of a Pharmacist you are generally held to a higher standard than most people on this forum (students). Obviously, the things you say here have no bearing on if your a great pharmacist or not but it does shed some insight on your character, which I think is seriously questionable. I could make this post last forever but in the end your a pharmacist - try setting a good example for once and take your head out of your A $ $.

(D*mn you to Hades, Spiriva!)

It's "douchebag", NOT "douche (space) bag".

If you're gonna be emotional and insulting, ya gotta lose the grammar and get down with the fo' netiks!

You and I both know its not just this thread.. Things you have said about retail pharmacy in the past... "pathetic career choice"... Ring a bell? I think your just a miserable person who wants everyone who actually sees the world in a beautiful light, to be as miserable as yourself.

Or maybe I'm just being honest and I'm angry at the corporate pharmacies for destroying the profession and making retail pharmacy a shadow of what it could be.

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you because honestly I have nothing to prove or gain from it.

Yet here you are....

Do you realize that by saying the "brutally honest" things that you do, and when I say brutal I mean insulting really, that your failing yourself as a professional?

Ok....that's it...you're just a troll. You can't be serious.

That is to say when you take the Oath of a Pharmacist you are generally held to a higher standard than most people on this forum (students). Obviously, the things you say here have no bearing on if your a great pharmacist or not but it does shed some insight on your character, which I think is seriously questionable.

Oh my god. What planet do you live on? Because I think a movie isn't as great as others think...and you decided to be overly sensitive about it...I'm now instantly of questionable character? Come on...

I could make this post last forever but in the end your a pharmacist - try setting a good example for once and take your head out of your A $ $.

Ok...so let's skip to the chase about your pretentious rambling on how I'm not a "professional."

Your grand "problem" is that I think retail pharmacy is a pathetic career choice. Which I do. Of course you choose to leave out the context of why I said such a thing, but that's fine.

I could see just cause for being upset if I was just saying it to be saying it, but I have just reason to think what I think. This is getting to the context of the statement. Retail pharmacy has potential to be a great practice area. However, the capitalism-first backbone behind it has destroyed it. Period. You are not a practitioner anymore once you sign on with the CVSs or Rite Aids of the world. You are a number. You are a source of income for stockholders. You are encouraged to do clinical things only because you are legally obligated to.

Retail pharmacy is a cesspool of bull****. And it's people like *me*, Zyvox, Priapism, and others that passionately speak out against it that are the true professionals. We *actually* CARE about people, believe it or not. We are disappointed that patients aren't getting optimal care and that pharmacists aren't being used to their fullest potential. Again - the retail system is not geared towards patient care at all. It's geared towards maximizing profits. I want retail pharmacy to live up to its possibilities. Medication management, pharmacotherapy, etc. Sure, you can sit back and poopoo around with your head in the sand and think about how much of a difference you might make once a week down at CVS, but the bottom line is that in retail your potential is INTRINSICALLY inhibited. Retail pharmacists should be counseling each patient every time. They should have greater roles in drug selection. They should be more involved with disease management. But for some reason the majority do not care. They just want to keep things they way they are. 2nd class professionals that just show up, count, talk to a few patients, get paid six figs, go home. And, thus, it has fallen into what it has become. Don't get me wrong, there are many independent pharmacists that have wonderful practices....but they are few and far between.

So do I think that it's a pathetic career choice? Damn straight I do. Unless of course you are an individual that is actually taking it upon themselves to better the profession...but that's like 1/10000 retail pharmacists....and if you are that person...you know I'm not talking about you, anyway.

And because I feel so passionate about how pathetic the entire profession of retail pharmacy has become, I'm not a "professional." Odd...being that that I've heard MUCH worse about retail pharmacy come out of advanced clinical pharmacists that are bloody professors at pharmacy schools. Hell, if you think *my* opinion is bad, why don't you ask Priapism his opinion of retail pharmacy. You'll think I am a writer for Community Pharmacy Monthly.

So how about this kiddo...before you write people off that think retail pharmacy is crap as incompassionate lowlifes...and before you use the ridiculous segway of a person's opinion of a movie that said person used to jostle his pals a bit with....just step back, take a deep breath. You don't personally know me and others on here know me waaaaay better than you. Do you see them getting all upset? No, because they know me and they all know I love 'em.

Your passive-aggressive holier than thou act has worn thin and grown old. If you disagree with my opinion on retail pharmacy, formulate an argument against it and then we can talk. Until then, chill, playa.

Dude, you CLEARLY have NOT READ WVPharm's posts. Stop now before everyone hands you your head.

For the record I didn't say you weren't a professional, I said you weren't acting professional. And BTW, I think you make good points about retail but you have to understand that in previous threads your posts weren't nearly as thorough and thus the reason I took offense to it. Do I know I will be a retail pharmacist? NO. I have no clue really but I have worked in it 6 & 1/2 yrs. and I have seen the bad but I have also seen a lot of good, and a lot of great pharmacists who really care about the patients (and I would hardly consider them 2nd class professionals). Oh yeah and this was at your favorite, CVS. I am not going to post a reply so say whatever you like - this argument will never be won regardless, there is absolutely NO WAY in hell that either one of us will come to any kind of agreement on the issue.....

So... I apologize for offending anyone, especially you WVU. I will be happy to discuss anything else privately if you want.

No, no, I think there is a clear winner when it comes to this discussion. By the way, the end of your post absolutely contradicts the beginning of it. You start off by explaining that you understand WVU is actually not attacking any individual community pharmacist, and that you think he makes excellent points regarding things that concern the profession. But then you start carrying on about how you can not agree with him. I don't get it...

Uh huh. See what you did. You woke THAT guy up. If you think I'm a an ******* towards retail pharmacy, Priapism is a card carrying Nazi against retail pharmacy. I seriously think if I put him, a sniper rifle, and a field full of district managers for a CVS in the same gully.....well....it wouldn't be pretty.
