Bio I is pure memorization.

It depends on what school you go to! Some schools teach courses quite differently!

bio 1. i took ap bio, so a lot was review, and in my case i had an excellent prof AND lab instructor, which, to my infinite sorrow, i found was a very rare combination 🙁

like i said. bio 1 was like taking ap bio all over again. bio wan was a piece of cake 🙂

am i the only one noticing a pattern? somehow, i have this feeling that no one's going to vote orgo 2 as the easiest, unless he or she loves memorizing random reactions.... lots and lots and lots of random rxns 😛

It was the most rewarding one for me by far. Def not the easiest though.

ochem II...
never studied until 3 days b4 the final..and I was playing broodwar at the time too. all because my prof gave us the choice of grading based between two mid-terms, the final, and the lab or just the final and the lab. I did poorly on the lab but super in the final...he gave me an A-....ah..the good ol' days..definitely the most laid back pre-req...
physics II sucked big time tho

although orgo 1 is the most fun prereq, physics 1 was easier than my high school course.

Broodwar... that's old skool 👍 .

it was pretty hot at the time😛 i had the illusion of becoming a pro-gamer

War 3 was hot, until they came out with that lame expansion pack.

I agree bio1 was a joke.

Day 1 at my Bio 1 class:

"Look to your right, then look to your left. One of the 2 people that you just looked at will have to repeat the course". Said the prof.

y'know, same thing in my bio 1 class - every year, only about 2% (of a huge class) gets in A range, and something like half fail. The prof is known to be hard, mean, tough, whatever, but while it's true that he does have the oddest sense of humor i've had the misfortune to encounter, i didn't find the class itself all that hard. maybe because i took ap bio in hs?

in any case, it is hard to tutor these kids, with their grandiose dreams of johns hopkins med school, and know that they are failing out of bio 1... and the going, in my experience, just gets way tougher. "man plans, and God laughs..." but it is hard to see all those innocents with their dreams in ruins.

Bio I, hands down. I liked organic chemistry, and although the second semester was (for me at least) a repeat of sorts of the first term, I still had to be aggressive in my study habits to maintain my grade.

Physics I and II

Probably because I think in math.

Thinking back to my physics courses makes me return to a dark place which both time, medication, and an occasional volt or two have consipired to keep me from.....physics.... :scared:

Easiest pre-req have to be G-Chem I.... like a 100m dash!

All Physics were the hardest... maybe I just didn't give much attention to our 80 yr old professor. That dude looked like he was setting a record for retirement age. Plus we were being curved against this girl who seemed to know the whole course from the begining... that was a bad experience overall. I am sure Physics would have been fun with little more effort from moi. 😀

physics II was the devil

That was orgo 1 and 2 for me. There was this guy in my class who put in, like, 4 hours of studying PER NIGHT for orgo... he used to sit there, when the class average was ~50, weeping over his 98, publicly; kinda made me want to take my really heavy orgo text and whap him over the head. Really annoying. Of course, the fact that I was only putting in maybe 2 hours a week may have contributed the teensiest bit to my feelings of inadequacy 😀 ... But that's ok; at the end of the semester, i think i had way more net fun than he did, and i didn't do too badly in orgo, either. 🙂

well at uva there was this one girl that actual took the course in the summer not for credit (not just one course either) .. then takes the real course during the school year.

i said physics b/c its the only course i actually got an A+ in the course 🙂

Congrats! A+s are really nice! (what would be even nicer if my school would count A+s differently, ie higher, than As; but one can't have everything, i suppose 🙂 )

yea same here it meant nothing just an extra + on a transcript lol

Can I pick....Calculus II ?

It's easy. All you need to remember is just a few formulae and apply to situations. 😀 Got 99% for that, and another 99% for Calculus III, which is even easier than Calculus I & II. 😎

I must say, that even on a forum full of oddities, you are an odd one. but i mean that in the best possible way 🙂

Fun and sanity are for losers!

Thus far, I think Bio 102 was the easiest. How do you guys think chem 1 ranks up?

I do agree, all intro biology are joke, actually most of the biology classes - all they want you to do is memorize.

However, I thought that O-Chem 1 was the easiest. It was simple mechanics. If you had the basics covered (meaning crammed all the IR, NAS, SN1, SN2, E1, E2 and nomancleature).

Physics I for sure...it involves 7th grade math. And you use a calculator. Doesnt get much easier than that.

Physics I... can we say plug and chug? although our prof was nice and let us have our cheat sheet.

I'm in the process of Ochem II... someone shoot me, better yet, shoot the ones ruining the curve.
