As quickly as good Solonius was entered into your ranks, his end was met. Gratitude for insight gained and lessons learned. In dream the end was made clear. I shall post this dream, so you may understand. Never forget Good Solonius, I make this my final request.

Jupiter's C*ck!

I was happy to see my husband watching Sparticus the other day since I get to see some hot, Roman soft porn. OMG! :corny:

If we conceive a child after watching Rome or Sparticus, I will have to name it Domina if it is a girl, although Demeter (the greek goddess of fertility) is also tempting (we have d-named children because they have the devil inside them, naturally).

Makes me wish that I would have studied ancient civilations instead of modern European history.

In my experience with ancient civ classes, they really emphasized the guy on guy routine. I'd much rather watch Spartacus than listen to an old guy drone on about you know what in the butt.

As a classic civ major who almost went for classics phd, I resent that.

Although you do have to be careful for male professors who wrote their doctorate on Greek/Roman sexuality. It does seem to have a habit of taking over their course.

Spartacus is entertaining, if nothing else. It was good to see solonius stop by, even if his stay was brief.

Sparticus does have some pretty hot bed acrobatics going on. I think Rome had a little boy-in-boy action.

Just if you're wondering...this picture is demonstrating how to cure an imperforate anus.

We need more ancient history in our lives. I used to wear a 1800-year-old Roman ring up until a couple years ago (it kept turning my gloves brownish-green). I used to collect Roman legion rings, but they have gotten somewhat expensive. Roman rings, in general, are almost as common as Roman coins which a lot of people are unaware.

It's always good to see what your professors studied. Apparently, I can't say anything bad about amphibious warfare until the summer! Like I would, anyway. lol That **** is awesome.

 ...wait, don't take that the wrong way.

Also Iapx, no dis on classic civ majors. Just sayin' the one class i took doesn't compare to soft core freaktaculousness on Starz.

I think a stick up the butt is as bad as using a rock for FGM in Africa. I hope those middle easterners knew what they were doing.

In the right manner I agree with you. However, this recent trend toward hollywood sword and sandal flicks that attempt to potray ancient history are doing more harm than good. Films like Clash of the Titans, Centurion, etc. It is giving the general population a misconstrued view, making ancient history appear to be like cheap Hollywood entertainment. However, HBO's rome was produced, which was phenomenal, but I do not think that it is followed by the general public. I digress.

Certainly, I agree with you. Historical novel and film depictions can be very attractive to the average person. These stories, extrapolating upon facts to fill in the gaps from the past, have the opportunity to deliver history to a broad audience ranging from the academic historian to the historian enthusiast through portrayalsof lust, sex, and death. However, can this avenue of writing be trustworthy for providing a reliable interpretation for the past? Probably not, however it did get me interested in wanting to learn more. :)

So this thread is now about sweet buttplay?

I don't remember my Latin too well, but wouldn't you be naming her "Mistress" :/

LOL They said that a lot in HBO's Rome -- a great series. Lucy Lawless is so hot in both of these series.

BTW op, you do know that the second season has started, right? God's of the Arena is a prequel to the first season. I think the producers had to do this because Sparticus developed cancer. So instead of delaying the show, they made a prequel so he's not in it. Solonius is in this one as well.

I think I need to add Rome and Spartacus to my Netflix queue. I already have Netflix to thank for letting me watch The Tudors, aka ye olde smut. Now I can add some Greco-Roman smvt.

I'm going to guess that the reason that good solonius made an appearance is due to the recent role which Solonius has been playing on GOA. I bet he has seen it...

.. I had a vision(while sitting in Bio today) of Sparatcus applying to med school. It went a little something like this.

Batiatus: What would you do... to gain acceptance to medical school

Spartacus: (gravely) I would do whatever it takes

Battiatus: Would you take all the pre reqs. Physics? Chemistry? Organic!?

Spartacus: I would take them... I would take them all.

Battiatus: Then grab books in hand and make to purpose. And soon the letter of acceptance shall be yours!

You can watch every episode of spartacus streaming via Netflix. Enjoy. It is a little corny at times, but immensely entertaining. The choreography is excellent and the acting is, in my opinion, surprisingly good. Rome, on the other hand, is a truly wonderful production. It is very well made, has great sets, has great characters, and is all around enjoyable. Good luck with both.

Yes, but I'm running out of d-names! lol The name "Domina" kind of scares me. Maybe we'll go with Darcy or something.

Geekchick-must watch Sparticus and Rome. Hot, hot, hot! :)
