Hey guys i've gotten some interest in this field. I wanted to know about the outcome of this field in the future. If its good how so. Is the competition high.
I'm trying to decipher between dentistry and podiatry. I like both of the fields and i work great with my hands. Both fields are a form of art. Its difficult for me to choose.

Also income wise average dentists make close to 1 million trust me well in my area they do, but the competition is starting to get up there.
How about podiatrists whats theirs?

thanks

This is a pod thread, but if you want to PM me, I would absolutely love to hear where "average dentists make close to 1 million."

The degree a podiatrist holds is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Dentistry and Podiatric medicine are 2 very seperate fields. If you talk to most dentists, they will tell you dentistry is the way to go and if you talk to pods, podiatry is the way to go. It all depends on what you want. Go shadow both docs and see for yourself what interests you more and then work hard to achieve that. If its only the money you are after, good luck because the income of a dentist and podiatrist ranges depending on all types of demographics. Im not sure about this 1 million talk. But I dont doubt that there are a few out there.
