this would better my life in the financial sense. any tips welcome

Tuna salad sandwiches! If the tuna salad stuff can hold in the fridge for a couple of days at a time, just make it a couple days beforehand and in the mornings make your sandwich and you're good to go. I am also a fan of PB&J (classic) and grilled cheese!

I don't get any of the Inception pics. This *should* peer-pressure me to see it sooner, too bad MCAT studying calls. 👎

I usually pack salami since the smell of PB&J makes me nauseous.

but most days I go home for lunch or am already home and eat grilled cheese, best lunch food ever.😀

Financial woes, 'eh? OK.


Skimp on the meat. Seriously, buy the cheap sliced stuff at your local super market.
Spend on the cheese. ~$10/Lb should be your target - start with a nice creamy Havarti, grow from there.
Buy the individual rolls @ the bakery section. The sophisticated modern man cannot make due with sliced white bread! Keep a stockpile in the freezer.


Spread to be made in bulk before hand: Combine Mayo, a bit of mustard, a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar, and 'Italian seasoning' in a bowl. Refrigerate.


Instructions:


Take bread out of freezer - Place under broiler. 60 seconds = warm AND crusty bread. Success!
Cut bread. Apply Spread. Add splash of balsamic or red wine vinegar.
Will this sandwich be eaten within the next 4-5 hours?
Yes - apply lettuce and tomatoes.
No - pack a veggie in the lunch box.
Add meats, cheeses.

I'm also a big fan of tortillas. I keep the tortillas in a plastic baggie and all of the sandwich fixin's in a plastic container. Then I assemble on site.

How is this thread doing tonight? I just cleaned out my freezer. It was liberating.

I am trying to whiten my teeth for my first interview next week and they are all sore and sensitive🙁 I hate that stuff. I think I am giving up until I can get some Sensodyne or something.

Teeth whitening worked pretty well for me - I think level of sensitivity to these things varies from person to person. You might want to look for a specific variant made especially for people with more sensitive teeth. And I definitely used the word variant because for the last week I've been studying genetic disorders caused by variant alleles
