The Late Night Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I heard that when mommy and daddy love each other they hug themselves very tight and one day you are born. Basically from that day you start to get older. Doesn't that BLOW?

Also, what is your job? I put 2 and 2 together, and realized that if you are in WA, you are in the same time zone as me, which means it's late but not TOO late. I will rule out street corners though since most hookers don't have wireless devices...

Don't rule out street corners just yet....(kidding). It's an in-between job, as I said, and hopefully I'll have a job with the city in a couple weeks...Anyway, I work at Subway. I started last Tuesday and it's absolutely horrible. The job itself is easy (obviously), but the people...oh jeez! I shouldn't criticize on SDN though; I'd come off as way too shallow. Haha.

Where are you from?

AHH Have you learned to make the spicy italian?

I am in CA, so if I look north I might spot you!

Oh! It's totally my new favorite sandwich! Haha. I used to just get roast beef (although, working here...I don't suggest ever getting the roast beef. Trust me...) but now I have broadened my horizons. Bigger and better sandwiches are in my future!

I used to live in California. I miss it so much. 🙁 They still have beaches, right? Those things were awesome...

😍frienenemy😍

We have things that look like what you might call beaches...the closest (20 min) from my house, however, is sooo dirty and rocky it's useless.

Are you close to Seattle by any chance? That will be my home one day.

Ahh. We have rocky beaches up here, but I don't think they count. I was in Southern California, so I had all the sandy ones 😀

I live about thirty minutes form Seattle. However, this Winter I will officially move into the dorms at UW (which is in Seattle). 😎

Future home? Do you plan on going to UWSOM or just moving up here after med school?

Edit: We actually have sandy beaches too, but they are more like lake beaches than ocean beaches.

I have both a fetish for living in big cities and a fear of commitment to one city. My "top choice" city right now is San Francisco. Seattle is 2nd place. I've only been there once to play high school football (at Seahawk stadium!!!). I'd love to go back though.

Also, I live in SoCal, I just got the beach-shaft is all.

I'm in the same boat!! Haha. Love big cities, don't know which one to go with though! San Fran and Seattle are both on my list, though.

Where are you in Socal? I'm from Cypress. Too bad about the beach situation 🙁

Apparently we live in the same county, except I'm from the cooler "south side" of OC. Are you a native?

I miss St. Louis

Is St. Louis as dangerous as people from there tell me? I know it's dangerous like most big cities, but is it "crap your pants" dangerous?

I'm in so-cal With my windows open I can hear the surf if it is a rougher night. Not tonight. But I can smell it.

I can't sleep. Nervous about my interview in 5 days.

WashU is in gorgeous suburbs outside the city. The city itself is a quaint midwestern city with, I would say, a low crime rate. East Saint Louis, a city across the river in Illinois, will forever be the most dangerous place I have set foot in.

just had to send an MRI to India to be read cuz the Attending refused to wake up and do it! its gonna cost the hospital/insurance $10K extra!

 I guess that explains why it was so much nicer than I expected. I'd been wondering if my city of origin had just skewed my view of what's a dangerous city or something.

Thank you. I will stay out of East St. Louis then...

Lucky duck!! (Regarding the sound of the ocean I mean)

Good luck on your interview though!

It took me ~5 minutes to get that second video to work, its very confusing. But it's last night's ep of Jersey Shore. And it was amazing!! haha

Ohh! I love watching that show. Haha. It's always on when I'm at the gym, so I'm sure I'll see last nights episode tomorrow night. haha

What cereal is good cereal?

Also, what is so great about ihop? I don't think I've ever eaten there. Don't you have a 24 hour place like Denny's nearby?

Captain crunch and raisin bran crunch are the best cereals.

ihop is delicious because pancakes are delicious.

Denny's is gross.

But several superior places exist, but I am in no condition to drive to them.

...and they attract a shady group at this hour, most of whom I know but I am not in the mood to deal with them this morning.

Ohhhh....I am seeing the problem now. I don't really like pancakes.

ihop is delicious because pancakes are delicious and the all you can eat pancake deal for $5 is also pretty nifty.

1a. Made the correction. 😛

1b. Instead of waiting for IHOP to open, make some pancakes! I just made some chocolate chip pancakes = delicious!

2. Sounds suspicious.... :eyebrow:

There is a Denny's about 5 min from my house, but I don't go there often, too busy eating my parents' food. :meanie:

I can only make them if I have a mix (which my parents don't have🙁).

A bit, but I cannot give details...
