mmmm Thai food.
It isn't fair that my girlfriend is not a big fan of thai food!!
That sucks bro
I've dated picky eaters...for a time not exceeding date number 1
I seem to find that the girls that think milk, eggs, seafood, mushrooms, etc are all "ewww"tend to demonstrate in other ways a fear of growing up (its a manifestation of their fear of leaving childhood).
Dr. WUbear, esteemed psychologist, out

Another night of work, another night on this thread, SSDN...
I hope that by "studying bacteria" you mean something cool like "eating questionable Chinese food leftovers" or "making out with a stranger"
Sadly no.I hope that by "studying bacteria" you mean something cool like "eating questionable Chinese food leftovers" or "making out with a stranger"
It means reading about endospore forming bacteria.no worries I'm in med school and I'm usually up all night. It'll suck when I start rotations next year though.
Pad thai good, Tom Yum Gai my favorite food in existence. My stomach is growling just by my typing those three words. I vow to learn how to cook a good tom yum gai within the next few years

Really? I have seen the schedule of the school I am going to next year and most days classes start at 8 AM. They have mandatory attendance, too, so no skipping class.
yeah, I manage it by skipping class. I try to fix my sleep schedule but it always reverts to either: sleep 4-5 hours in the middle of the day or sleep 8 hours every other day.Really? Hope you get better quick.Hey Late Nighters.
How are you all this eve?
I am sick, sore, and can't find anything worthwhile on television. 🙁
EDIT: And for some reason I am craving pickles. If I felt any better I'd be headed to the grocery...
It's too bad there's not more demand for late night docs. I don't think I could handle the ED clientele.
Their patient population is a pretty irritating group. They tend to be pissed off, entitled and somewhat on the trashy side.why not?
Haha WuBear, I agree with that sentiment. No thankfully she is not a picky eater. She just hasn't been exposed to delicious thai food, thankfully though she loves indian...if she didn't I doubt we could date 😛.

The hours are pretty sweet though. Maybe I could handle it for the nocturnal option and $/hour.
yeah I work in the ER, so I agree with the whole patient attitude, but I Love EM medicine honestly! No oncall, set schedule and the pay is pretty damn good. and the best part is that you don't have to get close and personal with the patients, you just stablize them and send them off or admit them! and nurses end up dealing with alot of their crap rather than the EM doc. at least it's like this at my hospital!
That's currently my main criteria for culling possible specialties. My lack of touchy feelyness and poor ability to fake it probably wouldn't go over well in many specialties.
yeah, I know exactly what you mean! Emergency Med, Surgery, Anesthesiology, or Pathology.
I just had the "breakfast bowl" at burger king. I now realize it is similar to the Chili at Wendy's - in that they both involve mashing up a hamburger patty and slippin them in a new menu item 🙄
Quick apology goes out to Lucidity! When i was slamming picky eaters I had an old flame of mine in mind, and forgot for a second that it was discussion of your girlfriend that brought this topic up 🙄 whoops 😛
Oh wow!!!!!I stayed up this late watching the pups as they romped around until they got sleepy. The pics are of them crying to get out of their pen and chew on stuff/attack our faces, and then of the girl barking in her sleep 😛
I want to laugh and say "awww" at the same time🙂So, I have a bit of a funny story tonight...
On Sunday, I was scheduled to work, but my family insisted I go to a rodeo and carnival with them. I hate my minimum wage job, so I said yes. I proceeded to call my work and tell them that I would not be able to come in that day due to a horrible case of strep throat. (I said strep because I had come down with it just a month ago and still had the undated doctor's note that I could use.)
Wednesday night/Thursday morning I woke up with a horrible sore throat. It has progressively become worse and today I went to Urgent Care. After taking a culture, the doctor informed me that I indeed had a case of strep throat.
I believe this is the definition of karma. 🙁
I want to laugh and say "awww" at the same time🙂
Even I'll admit it's pretty funny 😛
However, this is my fourth time getting strep this year....makes it a bit less funny. Ha.
