Today's the 4th of July? It's crazy how your days can get off sometimes. Especially because my neighbors have been shooting off fireworks since 9 pm. That's right, four hours of explosions, with the occasional break in between. It was like the freaking Blitz.

Hahahaha Blitz?

Blitzkrieg? You lived through that?

After tonight, it seems like it. Technically...no. 🙁 But I consider myself an expert, mostly because I've seen the first Chronicles of Narnia movie like 73039827374 times. 🤣

Hello late nighters. Happy 4th of July!! GO AMERICA

Hi, Late Nighters,

I hope everyone had a nice Fourth of July. I spent part of my evening helping to look for the neighbors' labrador retriever that had gotten loose. He was recovered though my cattle dog mix and I can't take the credit.

Yeah, my next door neighbors are usually good for a couple hours of fireworks on the 4th. I have often marveled at how much money they must have spent because they have the expensive stuff. Anyway, these neighbors apparently were not home tonight.

Same to you HELEN!!!

Med school T minus 3 weeks? Intense!

Yeah, it still seems so unreal. It is equal parts unbelievable, scary, and exciting.

Break is too short, second semester of summer in the morning. 🙁

Loving all the people who are setting off all the fireworks, despite the fact that my state is in the worst drought in 100 years.

You out West? I have some friends in the Santa Fe/Los Alamos area, scary stuff.

It's kind of dry here in Western PA, now that you mention it. And there were tons of people setting off stuff in my neighborhood. A lot of it is professional quality stuff (I'm talking very high, big, big showers of sparks). Dunno where they are buying this.... and it must cost a fortune.

Hope you don't have an early class tomorrow...

Yup. I'm in Albuquerque which is like 45 minutes- 1 hour away from that big fire.

A number of my neighbors are doing the same, except out here those types of fireworks are illegal.

Sup late night. Another all nighter for a final exam over here. Hoping its my last one pre-acceptance :xf:

Good luck dude! We are all pulling for you.

PS. If you get in it gives me more inspiration, since it seems like the 2 of us have somewhat similar backgrounds, gpawise.

MCAT AUGUST 19th, so I can't sleep because I feel like its somehow wasting precious time? working through EK 1001 physics questions. I'm on #475 radioactive decay yay!

hey guys...just bored

finally done with my summer 1 session, summer 2 starts this coming Tuesday ;/
physics 1 and chem 2 coming up, not looking forward too it.

Yes. But it is what it is. Some aspects in physics (and any other class for that matter) are harder or easier than others.

I have never looked at a Physics problem knowingly. I will be taking Physics I and II the summer 2012.

My prof is known to be semi-easy, but is the material still extremely hard or something? I mean I would compare it to gen chem which i did well in but I'm sure it's a total diff beast.

I am not looking forward to physics. I am a biology person

yea any course that requires rote memorization comes so easy to me, i just got done taking A/P and i don' think i really ever sat down to actually study and I made an A.

JB fans im sorry

That is always good for some laughs.

Well I won't say it's easy, but it is not impossibly hard either.

The chapters I had problem sets in are more difficult. And this one problem in particular is driving me nuts. I can't seem to figure it out.

wish me luck, i start taking it this coming Tuesday with chem 2 :scared:

Good luck!

Physics does have a beauty to it when you figure it out.

Same here. Maybe this will help during M1 and M2!

I had periodontal surgery yesterday. Despite ibuprofen and Vicodan it still hurts like a $%$&! Kind of feels like someone took a sledgehammer to my lower jaw. 🙁

ask for the good stuff. That seems like a good enough reason if there ever was one.

What's better than Vicodin. I am much better today. Sorry for being a baby... +pity+ I have never had any significant dental work done before.

I had to have two grafts put in where my gum was receding. I knew post op would not be pleasant but it is worse than I imagined. The periodontist was going to do each graft in a separate surgery but I said I was starting med school on 7/25 and not only would I be busy but I would lose my dental coverage through work as of 8/1. So, he did it in one day. Lemme tell you, if he had only done one graft on Friday, I would never have gone back to have the second one done. 🙁

Dental work is pretty terrible. Luckily I've only had my wisdom teeth yanked.

And hi everyone, rotations have had me MIA for a bit now. I'm often still up late at the hospital though.

Hi, Yoda!

So, how is ob/gyn? I remember you were starting with that one.
