Well, I'm up because I got myself on this 4am-8am sleep schedule during the semester, and I can't break it. I can't fall asleep at a reasonable hour, and I wake up every morning anticipating something that needs to get done beyond studying for the MCAT. Next week, I start full-time research, a winter class, and REAL studying for the MCAT. If only I could sleep now 🙂

I thought this thread was going to be about stupid Leno taking Conan's spot. I'm glad Conan is going to rip NBC for $80 million and walk away to another station. Leno sucks.
 
Well, I'm friggin bored, so I gotta do something about it. And I migrated because all you guys talk about is sports and that's not how I roll.
 
Late night talk shows are not funny. I've given them a bajillion chances but I always find my way back to TLC or the Food Network.

Understandable. You need to drop in when me, brooklyn, or spurs aren't there. Then again, most of my sports talk is instigated by those other two. But they're always there, if you haven't noticed. :laugh:

I totally agree. I really can't stand them - there's always something better on.
 
Whaddup. Did you guys hear about the earthquake in Haiti? It's awful...earthquakes scare me. I love you California, but I'm staying put on the East Coast..north of FL because I hate hurricanes too. Does Canada ever get any natural disasters?

im from Canada, dont remember the last time we had a "natural disaster".
Then again I have the tendency to sleep through important events, including exams.

I prefer my ability to sleep through hurricanes until the power goes off and I start sweating.

Yeah...Canada is pretty uneventful. That's probably a good thing in a lot of contexts. Were you the person on SDN who slept through his final and ended up with a B in the class?

WHAT!? How'd you manage that? My profs would show no mercy if I missed an exam because I overslept. I am sure of it.

I ran to my exam but after the first 30 min they dont let any1 in to start writing. Of course i was about an hour late so i decided to run to the deans office instead and beg for mercy. I explained how i was a first year and it was my first final bla bla bla. and it worked out. No sexual favors or anything 👍

So... it's 6 am on the east coast... they should get up and keep SDN alive!
 
i work overnight, 2am-10am at a high-class department store, as part of the housekeeping crew. pay is good, hours are fine since i'm in school. Tho it is terrible for a social life lol.

Basically my boss doesn't come in untill 7-8 in the morning, and i have internet access, so i half-@$$ my job quickly so i can browse SDN.

Similar situation here... work at a hospital at night 7pm-7am and well... when the patients sleep I surf.😀

8p-8a ICU nurse here. 20 minutes till freedom!!

At this point I am so desperate for a patient Id go out and hurt someone....but with my luck they'd end up at the hospital across town. 12 hours of nothing is a loooooooooooooooooooooooong night. Heck, I'd even take a vasal vagler if one of the long term residents needs to strain a lil. :meanie:

Yes, yes it is.

I don't like doing laundry late at night because what if I feel like going to bed when it's still in the washer? My clothes need to be dry and folded before I sleep!
 
The one time I get to sleep early..and of course thanks to my sleeping schedule at school I'm wide awake at 2:45AM.

So I think I might be pushing 4am this semester. It feels kind of cool being awake when everyone around you is asleep. It's like you know a secret or something.
 
...well some secrets aren't worth it. I'm off to bed.
 
Work. 🙁 So glad to start school soon.
 
This semester could have some extremely late nights for me. There's a good chance that my first class will alternate between 12:30pm or 12pm and I'll definitely have Fridays off.
