The limits of applying early--for those who havent submitted yet but will soon

I've already submitted, but I saw that AMCAS today said that transmission of applicant data to med school wont happen till june 25th. So as long as you get verified before then, it doesnt matter exactly when you submit. If you submit any time this week, I would highly suspect that you'd be verified by that time. Dont' rush it!

It's hard to say, ownage. The longer you wait to submit, the more backed up AMCAS gets and the longer it takes to verify after submitting. I'm going to ASSume that if you're submitted and they have all your transcripts by this Friday, you'll be verified by the 25. At least that's what I'm hoping, because I submitted the other night and I expect my last two transcripts will get there by Friday.

Haha my app has been "under review" all morning--like three hours. I'm sure they don't ACTUALLY take that long to verify each app--do they usually just mark it as "under review" for several hours for whatever reason?

Psh, at least you've made it that far. I've been "ready for review" for about 5 days now. 🙁

Likely, under review means your app has transitioned to a stack on someone in particular's desk, as opposed to languishing in the general inventory.
