The Off Topic Thread

The same must go for Lithuania. 😛 Although, I've looked into traveling there, I must admit.

There is a Baltic Cruise that stops in Estonia and Lithuania. Estonia has the world's oldest still practicing pharmacy! One of my professors went when she was on the cruise.

are there many persians in pharm school? my ex gf was persian and i want another one, lol.

Here's some advice...don't spend too much time studying for the Naplex. I'm pretty such an illiterate man from Siberia that has no concept of what a drug is could pass it.

I haven't even started studying yet, and I've been out of school for almost 2 months. I'm more worried about law, and once the state in which I'll be practicing receives my paperwork, they'll send me the law material to study.

That's pretty much the truth. The law test is tricky. It's like those damned driving tests you took when you were 15.

what state are you applying for licensure?

The law exam isn't too bad, you probably would need a good week or a week and a half to study for it. my state never sent me a law book so i just used the law book that i had for my pharmacy law class.

as long as u know the controlled substances laws and timeframes/procedures for recordkeeping you should be alright.

First of all, why are you all on topic in the off topic thread?

Secondly, I would like to ask a mod where my 2+ year member badge thing went. I worked hard for that.

I watched the first 4 episodes of Castle in one setting. I am thoroughly amused.

I've been watching all the episodes of Eastbound & Down this morning, and...strangely, I find it hilarious but yet trainwreck-ish.

That show is hilarious... so many great one-liners, I hope they pick it up for season 2.

WTF, they killed off Kumar on House? Lame...
OMG!!! I was just about to post that up...you beat me to it. I even thought he was really dead 😕
I heard that they had to kill him off, to let the original cast members like Chase and Cameron get more air time on the show.
Even though I'll miss Kumar, I think its weird how they have a memorial website for his "death".

So I just read through all 9 pages of posts. I have to say it's quite entertaining, and a great way to procrastinate, when I should be finishing my paper. Anyone have any great ideas on how to write a discussion section in a technical paper??

Although, this definitely seems more like it should be called "The Changing Topic thread" instead of the off-topic thread...

FarscapeGirl... you have some endurance to read through 9 pages of unrelated ramblings. 😀

Is it just me or a lot of prescribers don't know the difference between 2 injections once weekly vs. 1 injection twice a week?

My wife's ophthalmologist couldn't figure out why I was so irate that he gave her a script for Zylet instead of Tobradex. I could get, like, 4,000 tickets at Dave & Buster's off of that needlessly wasted $15.

Gosh damn that's a lot of tickets. I need to clone you and have your clone win me some nice prizes. 😀

Well, I have to admit I skimmed some of the child-debating posts...

I don't know how much was endurance and how much was the power of wanting to procrastinate. I did end up finishing the draft of my research paper on time, although with a few less hours of sleep than I originally wanted.

Oh, I can't wait to read these threads when I know more about what all these drugs are. They'll make so much more sense.

I wonder how long this off-topic thread will keep going...

I always wondered... Which city has better architecture in your opinion: New York or Chicago. I'm not talking about the size of the city, but the architecture, the way the skyline is, stuff like that.

CHICAGO hands down. It is known for its architecture. Two famous architecs lived and made the repuation for the city 1) Frank lloyd wright 2)Mies van der Rohe (he actually set up a Architecture University called IIT).... By the way my anwsers are biased because I am from Chicago, and I used to be a Architecture student before switching to Pharmacy.

I HATE softened water. I swear I use like three times more water, because even after you've washed away all the soap and shampoo, your skin feels slimy...and I'm not sure I've gotten it all off...so I continue to rinse.

I'm never installing a water softener in my home. Drives me B-a-N-a-N-a-S. Justing sayin.

You know you hate it too.

And if I was a hotel manager...I wouldn't put one in either. What a bad business decision...everyone's using more water now.

How do you know if I hate soft water... you took shower with me before? :meanie:
