I knew that! Haha..294 is never a fun ride during rush hour, but you'll be going against most of the traffic until you get near Oak Brook and the airport..80 is pretty bad around the IN/IL border..90 will be bad until you get past the NW suburbs...

If you will be there around rush hr and alternative might be 80 to 355 to 88 to 39 which becomes 90 around Rockford. Not sure how much that might take you out of your way.

The plan is to hit Chicago between 2-3 pm. I'm driving to Janesville, WI for the night (just north of the IL stateline). The 80-294-90 route is what was suggested to me rather than what Mapquest and AAA told me to do, which was just stay on 90 and go right through the city center. 😱

I'm thinking the drive east will be one of the smallest hassles of the moving process.

and oh yeah, I'm gonna be a Pharm.D. in T-5 hours...

Naw. Just one of them pig-cats.

I once had a cat named Ping. He was abandoned at birth. I fed him goat milk... and adopted him.

He was an exceptional hunter.. living on a secluded cul de sac, he took care of pest problems for the 3 houses on the block I would see him munching on blue jays..squirrels etc.

One of the neighbors had a rabbit hole in the shrubs where their 2 y/o would play cat and mouse with the rabbit...where the rabbit would stick his head out...then the boy would try to catch the rabbit and the rabbit would disaapear.. and this would go on and on...

One day, the boy went to play with the rabbit.. and poppped out was Ping with a smile.. and said...Hello...

That was the last time we ever saw any rabbits in the neighborhood.

So I'm putting in orders today and I come across an ID note...."Dx: LRSA"

LMAO. They are that terrible at killing bacteria here in W Pa. People are freaking out acting like its ebola up on the floor.

Figured this was a good place to say happy birthday to Farmercyst Jr. Born by C-section at 12:41am today. 😀

Congratulations are in order. With the scary rate at which the ignorant and incompetent are reproducing, it's nice to know that some of the intelligent people in society are also procreating, if not all (I'm looking at you, WVUPharm).

I'll mail you my sperm if you want it. Distribute it as you see fit.

So, I have less than a week before the move, and over the last 3 weeks my dryer has been taking 2, 3, sometimes 4 cycles to dry a load of clothes. Finally, I started to smell something burning and e-mailed my landlord to tell him the dryer's a POS and on its last leg and I wasn't using it anymore for fear of a fire. His reply? "Okay, thanks for telling me." Um, how about, "I know you are moving soon and paid full rent this month, so I'll get right on that."

Anyhoo, I went to the laundromat today for the first time since 2001. OMFG, when did they get so expensive???

So I needed a new vacuum cleaner because the one I own might be the worst vacuum cleaner in the history of vacuum cleaners.

Consumer reports claims that the Kenmores at Sears are the best you can buy...plus they are on sale this week.

So I drive to Sears...I go straight to appliances, passing three Sears monkeys, and start looking through the vacuums. I find the one I want. So I stand there and try to make eye contact with one of the employees.

Meanwhile, an older man walks in and one of them instantly jumps up to help him. They continue to ignore me. I then take my wallet out and hold it in the air. Meanwhile, a couple in their 30s comes in...same thing...Sears monkey jumps up to help. Neither the old man nor the couple buy anything. I continue to get ignored.

So I then yell rather loudly, "I WANT TO BUY SOMETHING!" A girl from electronics comes over to look at me and says "are you ok?" I tell her I want to buy a vacuum cleaner. So she waddles over to the three idiots standing around the appliances checkout doing nothing and she announces that I need rung up...all three of them sort of try to sliver over to get the commission...I thought I was about to be attacked by a pack of hyenas or something. One of them put his little jig of a walk into overdrive and got there first.

So he gets there and I say, "I want to buy this." with my credit card extended out. What does the dummy do? He goes on a 45 second rant trying to sell me the thing when I have clearly already decided to buy it.

I guess its because I look too young to be buying appliances...but still...where the hell do they hire these *****s?

I will say that Sears merchandise pickup kiosk thing is kinda cool. And remarkably efficient. You scan the receipt and a Mexican dude magically appears with your stuff. It was like 0.75 seconds after I scanned it. Bang-bang. "An associate with be out soon with your merchandise." *Thud of door opening* "Gracias, senior!" *Mexican scurries back into merchandise area. It was like a scene out of a Tim Burton cartoon or something. I'm pretty sure he was an illegal. Oh well. Maybe he brought some hot 20-something chicas with him to WV.

And then I think...I spend my days off buying vacuum cleaners now. My god that is depressing.

I do not know about consumer reports. Yeah it is supposed to be unbiased but I am not so sure. They always rate Craftsman and Kenmore stuff really high. The problem is Kenmore and Craftsman are just names they slap on another companies product. Most Kenmore refridgerators are made by LG or Whirlpool. Craftsman power lawn tools are made by Poulan.

I bought a Craftsman snow thrower because Cosumer reports rated it as a best buy. It was a POS. I wish I would have researched who acually made it before I bought it. Where I lived in Colorado got serious snow and it could not come close to keeping up despite the rave reviews.

You are probably safe with a vacuum. Most are designed to wear out after 5 years anyway unless you spend the bucks and get a Dyson.

a few things to check. (if you're actually interested in it.) Lint filter, vent, and burner/coil. No air flow, no dryer. If the lint filter is clear, and the vent is clear then the burner could be misaligned. Worst case the motor is burning out, but you should be getting some pretty bad sounds if that's the case.

If you were in SoCal, then SoCalGas would check it for free (if it's a gas dryer). I'm not sure how many utilities offer that service though.

I check epinions.com on some things just because they're rated by actual consumers in most cases. If it's a common enough item there'll usually be a few reviews on it.

I randomly started watching "Married With Children" online today. I forgot how funny that show was.

And a vacuum's a vacuum, as long as it picks up dirt I'm happy.

someone entertain me! I'm being productive - make it stop!

oh, and I took this a couple months ago. I had to drive by 3 or 4 times to hit the light right to get the picture.

If you see any of this stuff while you are over there in Asia, ship me a case or two. I'm 100% serious. I'll send you as many pepperoni rolls as you want. I've been fiending for a bowl of Oreo O's since they stopped making them back in like '06 or so. The only place they make them is in Asia. Damn you, Post. 😡

Ooooh, you should've told me earlier. I'm heading back to the States tomorrow. My bro & sis are staying another two weeks though, so I'll print out the pic and send them on the wild goose chase! Parents mentioned they were going to Costco one of these days, so you may get lucky!

Kazakhstan is the greatest country in the world; all other countries are run by little girls. Kazakhstan is number one exporter of potassium; other central Asian countries have inferior potassium.

Well, right now I'm watching Magics vs. Cavaliers...and I'm hoping Orlando will win. Hoping.:xf:
Because if they win this they are automatically in the finals against the Lakers. :scared: Hopefully they win that too. Hopefully. Cause we all know about Kobe...
