Feel free to share your current practice scores and progress, keep up friendly discussion, and motivate each other!

Good luck to all :luck:

At least most of you feel the same way! All my non-premed friends and family keep telling me "its no big deal" and to stop checking.

30+ and i will cry like cristiano ronaldo, lmao!!

im at work literally sitting online with one tab on the amcas mcat page and one tab on sdn....... this test turns people into zombies

click, no scores, click, no scores, click, no sco.., click, no..., click, n, click, click, clicliclkiclicliclick

A premed predicament nears
for the scores might be worse than he fears
but if they're real swell
he'll still have some hell
cuz the ps writing should take years

ps my 100th post

So I got 34R, and I'm not as bummed as I thought I would be. I was hoping for 36, highest AAMC practice was 37. Breakdown:

PS - 13
VR - 9
BS - 12

I think I will keep this score and not retake because my strong writing sample makes up for the low verbal. What do you guys think?

VR 11
PS 8 🙁
BS 10
N 🙁

29N total. The PS has me a bit bummed, I thought that was my strongest section, and I thought I wrote better than an N. Good improvement over the 7VR, 9PS, 8BS M from a year ago, at least.

33/S, good enough? I love the balance. 11/11/11/S

Expected: 12/10/13/S in P/V/B/W respectively. Nowhere near what I was hoping for but good enough for 7 schools I wanted to get in to.

I say keep it. Just go through the MSAR and try not to apply to schools where the 10th percentile for verbal is a 10. I don't think this is many schools though, just the very top tier ones. You don't want to risk doing worse on the sciences in a retake.

AAMC Practice Test Scores:
AAMC 4: PS 11 VR 12 BS 12 -- 34
AAMC 5: PS 9 VR 11 BS 11 -- 31
AAMC 6: PS 12 VR 11 BS 10 -- 33
AAMC 7: PS 10 VR 15 BS 10 -- 35
AAMC 8: PS 10 VR 13 BS 13 --36
AAMC 9: PS 32 VR 11 BS 9 -- 32
AAMC 10: PS 12 VR 10 BS 11 -- 33

Previous MCAT Scores:
8/15/08 11 VR 7 PS 9 BS -- 27M
5/28/08 8 VR 7 10 PS 10 BS -- 28M
5/22/10 10 VR 7 8 PS 12 BS -- 30Q

There are no words for how pissed I am right now, effing PS. This is 3-4 points below my AAMC average. I want to jump off a bridge.

I'm so upset with my score I'm not even going to post it. Let's just say it was under 20. I was at least averaging 24s. 🙁

Guess it's retake for me.

Omfg 39T how the hell did I manage that!

14PS 11V and 14BS

background is 3 years in chem eng, I always thought BS would kill me... Studied for 3 weeks with EK, was dumped by my girl at the time... Insanely happy!

37Q
14 PS
12 V
11 BS

I can't believe it. I really can't. My score on the BS section was nothing short of a miracle- I thought I BOMBED it. The passages I did poorly on must have been experimental. I was on the verge of cancelling my score because of it, but now I am glad I didn't.

For those of you who had trouble- don't give up. I know I almost did.

Yeah I got dumped too. I did well enough to get into the 7 schools I wanted so that'll teach her a lesson! Haha. congrats.

I agree with your assessment. I'm not retaking in spite of straight 11's because my "tiebreaker" (writing sample) is sufficiently decent I think.

13-10-12--35P...I have no idea how I got a 13 in PS, I was hoping for a 10 and that verbal would carry me home but I guess I'm happier with this split.

Yeah I also got 13 in PS, which was a pleasant surprise. I expected like 10 after that killer section. I just wish I had the 10 in VR like you got. That would make me much happier. P13 V9 B12 = 34R

37Q so unbelievably happy!

will update with more details if requested to do so

😀 😀 😀

PS: 13
VR: 13
BS: 11
Writing: Q

I'm really surprised with my PS and VR scores as I thought they were the toughest sections on my test. The BS I thought was fairly straightforward and I get an 11, figures.

A 37 is a good 4 points above my AAMC practice test average as I had been scoring anywhere from 31 to 35.

Now I can finally start on my pesky personal statement. 😀

Breakdown for me:

AAMC 3: PS 10 VR 12 BS 14 Total: 36
AAMC 10: PS 13 VR 13 BS 14 Total: 40
AAMC 8: PS 14 VR 13 BS 14 Total: 41
AAMC 9: PS 14 VR 11 BS 14 Total: 39
AAMC 7: PS 13 VR 13 BS 14 Total: 40

5/22 Real deal:
PS 13
VR 11
BS 13
Total: 37Q

I'm very excited about the real score. I knew I wouldn't be able to touch my practice tests because the scores were so high (one or two questions wrong would throw the whole thing off).

same bro...congrats on the score

I only got a 33S. 13 V, 11 PS, 9 BS.

The biological science killed me because I am just now taking organic chemistry and I started my biology course 18 months ago. I'm going to retake on 7/17 after completing most of my OChem I course.
