**** The Official ECU Class of 2017 Interview/Acceptance Thread ****

Yeah I wonder! Plus I wonder why theres only a few people in the facebook group? Where are all these ECUers?!
 
Maybe that they've selected the next wave of acceptances already and are going to send it out soon? maybe tomorrow? (based on last year's thread) .....wishful thinking at this point
 
Based off Orthotarheel's comments in the UNC thread I'm very unlikely to believe any conclusion he/she comes to.
 
lol I agree... Plus the continued interest email stated there were spots left and they haven't even formed an alt. list. So keep the positive thoughts goin 🙂
 
Yah, I mean, its almost February so obviously spots are taken, but with all the interviewing they've been doing, the committee meeting they had last week, and basically none on the FB group, I find it hard to believe that almost all of the spots are taken..I just hope to hear something soon 🙂

Amen. S/he's clearly just trying to instigate panic. And it is working. Ah, high-strung SDNers... We must be fun to mess with.
 
Has anyone heard of anyone getting an acceptance recently? I wonder if they did have the committee meeting?
 
The person who I spoke with said that they will not be making decisions until late Jan at the earliest. I think somebody else said the same. So it could be tomorrow, or it could be in a week or two since they said "at the earliest" and not a definite time... Hoping its tomorrow or next week!
 
Is anyone still interviewing? I have my interview Feb 12th? Is anyone going on that day?
 
Also, no one knows for sure how many seats have been filled or are left, also people will get into multiple schools so everyone stay optimistic!👍🙂

Has anyone heard of anyone that interviewed in Dec being accepted yet? Is this a 2nd or 3rd interview for anyone? I interviewed mid-Dec. This was my 2nd interview. My first was the end of Jan 2012.
 
This was my third interview. I interviewed dec. 5th. Haven't heard anything yet, hopefully next week!

ECU makes you do more than one interview before they accept you?? I had no idea they did it that way. I've only had one, so I guess I'm out.
 
No im pretty sure they mean how many cycles they have interviewed. So like their 3rd time applying/interviewing. Theres not multiple interviews per cycle
 
Right you only interview one time per school each cycle!

Anyone heard of any committee meetings coming up? Or know when any acceptances could go out again?
 
I haven't heard much but I would think that some more acceptances would go out at some point this week?! But im not sure honestly. Is anyone on here interviewing on Feb 12th which is a week from tomorrow?!
 
I emailed Mr. Lowery and he said no decision had been made on my application yet, but I was still in the mix. This could just be politically correct speech, I might still be under review, or possibly the adcom still hasn't met for the next acceptances.

I was wondering the same thing. Looks like there's one more interview Feb. 12th so I suppose the final decisions won't be made until sometime after that.

I looked at the official fb page and saw there are currently 31 members. Now 2 of them are admin, so that's 29 seats filled so far for the class of 2017. 52-29=23!!! Hope this helps and good luck on your interview!!!
 
Also, some more stats: women=16 and men=13. I know they said they like to keep the class at 50/50 and diversified.

Hope your interview went well today! Did they say if you were the last interview group? Or let you know anything about class size, or when we may hear something?
 
Any news anyone? Anyone know if theyve sent out a waitlist or denials yet?
 
I got an email a few hours ago just checking in on my status with other schools. Dr. Wilson said that they were "still making admissions decisions." That is all I know. Has anyone else received any emails this evening like this?
 
Was it similar to the continuing interest email? Did you get that one Emm?

I got the continued interest email a while back too. It was similar to that, but a little shorter and less formal sounding. But basically was inquiring about my status with other schools; no decision yet.

Got my rejection letter in the mail today. 🙁 Interviewed 1/29. Good luck to everyone else.

Also got a rejection (snail mail) today. Interviewed in October. AADSAS hasn't updated yet.

Has anyone heard anything lately or talked to somebody that has heard from the school?
 
I interviewed in February and they said they'd be making more offers this week...the suspense is killing me!
