I'm posting this since this is an older thread and therefore many of those who participated will now be dental students at DCG.

For those of you who are currently enrolled, how much interaction does exists between dental students and medical students, either facilitated by Augusta university or that occurs spontaneously?

During my MCG interview, I was told by one of the tour guides that there is a mixer during the beginning of year one for the dental and medical students to cursorily get to know one another, but I'm curious as to whether any kind of interprofessional interaction/collaboration beyond this type of thing is encouraged/facilitated. Thanks!

There was actually a Christmas party a few days ago with several different professional programs were invited. There's definitely some intermingling, but typically during the school year everyone stay so busy there isn't a lot of time to interact. Some of my classmates got to interact with medical students through intramural sports.
