Hey guys, I was just wondering what time the scores are released on the 26th. Because the AAMC website says after 5 pm but I've heard 3-5 pm from some people. I'm a first (and hopefully last) time exam taker so I'm not really sure what to go off of.

I am sure nobody will have the correct answer to your question and I am also sure that you will check the aamc's website non-stop starting 3pm on the 26th (just like the rest of us)

I would count on 5 eastern like it says on the site. That means 2pm for me!! :naughty:

Do you guys feel like you did worse on the MCAT than you originally thought? With 2 weeks left until the release, I went from feeling 8-10 on both science sections to 4-5.

Yeah, as more time passes, I feel more nervous about it. Plus, I'm slowly starting to begin reviewing (in case my score isn't where I want it). But it's soooooo hard to start up again! I feel like I've forgotten everything. Just going back and reading about periodic motion, waves, and sound.

I feel the same, also I started to review the materials slowly, esp the wave-sound part (don't know about you but I think I did horribly on those questions of the test). I already signed up for a retake on May 11th just in case (since the West Coast's seats are gone pretty fast..)

My life is a roller coaster again, one day I will think I got a 38 and the next I will think I got a 22. :///////

I just got a job with Kaplan though! Yay!

If you're not sure if you got a 38 (very good score) or a 22 (generally considered a pretty bad score), how could you have gotten a job with Kaplan? You don't know your score yet. They only hire people who score in the 95th percentile.

Yep I will be teaching MCAT! I'm really excited because it's going to be easy for me to remember everything over my gap year now.

To SoundScanner, I took a course with them before and had several AAMC tests that were over 35, they called and recruited me because of this. 🙂 Also it's the 90th percentile and above, at least in my area.

I'm also thinking about teaching the MCAT during gap year depending on my score. I'm gonna be looking at Kaplan and Princeton Review.

10 days away from results! I feel like I did a much better job of not thinking about the MCAT this week (as opposed to last week). I'm starting to get a little jittery though. Would it be a good idea to start reviewing some stuff just in case of a bad score?

I've started reviewing. I figured it couldn't hurt, and started on periodic motion, sound, waves, and circuits. My problem is that depending on how my score turns out, the only testing times available in my area are at the end of March or the beginning of May. The March date seems so close to begin preparing the get up to 100% ready to go again. While the early May date seems so far away that I will forget everything I've already got in my head that day by day slowly is forgotten....

What are you guys thinking about retest dates (if you have to)?

June, even if its late I wouldn't prepare adequately with my heavy coursework.

But I think I did decently enough that I can send in these score, (hopefully) :scared:

Hey Everyone,

I read thru everyones posts about how they felt about the MCAT 🙄🙄 I completely understand, i studied using Exam Krackers (which was really great btw). i felt completely comfortable with the Verbal and BS sections reveiw on aamc and EK. I understood that the physics portion would be my weakest section.
On the day of: i was so nervous, my stomache in knots i felt like this was life or death. I ddint expect to get the physics part first and it was very hard!!. Some questions was ok but the majority i was is complete disdain. However, i Answered everything and made educated guests when i completely didnt no the answer. However, the verbal and BS section was a breese:naughty::naughty::naughty: i was aiming for 30 or above

my prediction is

VR-11
BS-10
PS-9

NEXT WEEK SCORES ARE RELEASED AND IM FREAKIGN OUT... IF ALL ELSE FAILS I NO I CAN RETAKE THE TEST HOWEVER, I WANTED TO TAKE IT ONE GOOD TIME!!! 😉🙁😉:Good Luck everyone hop enext weeek there are tears of joy and not failure 👍👍

Any chance we get our scores this week? They said that they will give out the gift cards and reports on the optional section 3-4 weeks after the test day... so for us who took it on the 24th.. it would be this thursday (4 week mark) and those of you who did it on the 26th this saturday would be the 4 week mark.

Any thoughts? Or do you think they will just post the optional section scores then make us wait a few more days till the actual score comes out?

No chance bro, you're going to have to wait until the 26th.

Closing in on one month. I can barely remember the test and I'm freaking out that I could have done really now 🙁

Probably would've helped if you took any FL since the ordering of the sections are always the same.

Hopefully you do good, but from the sound of it you bombed the PS section....

What are your plans once you have your scores??? I know for me no matter what it will probably involve a night of partying and chilling with my friends. Hopefully it is a joyous occasion :luck:

COLD STONE! Whether I am rewarding myself or feel sorry for myself I am for sure going to get a pint of ice cream and eat it all in one night, probably accompanied with a movie and trying to get some work done.

I haven't had ice cream in months, I don't know which one i'm more excited for actually, the certainty of ice cream or the possibility of a really good score....

I agree..how did you now know the order is Physical, Verbal then Biological? It never changes, unless you meant that you expected to get Chemistry first, but even then you should've known it could've been either Physics or Chemistry first.

I do wish you luck also, but if you never took a FL exam, there's a high likelihood you may not have gotten the score you wanted.

OMG, less than one week.
I started to feel crappy again, even though for the past few weeks I already accepted the fact that I would need to retake the test and already signed up for one... but now it all comes back to me 🙁

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've actually been out of the country for the past 2 weeks so I haven't been thinking of the MCAT much thankfully. I took the 8a Jan 24 exam and am starting to freak out a little. This was my second time taking the test...I did well on the sciences the first time but got a 6 in verbal. I got an 11 on physical sciences the first time around and am pissed because now I think I raised my verbal but dropped PS thanks to this test. I know its been a month since the exam and im a little late in asking but for anyone who still remembers the exam....what did you all think of the PS section? Without discussing the specifics of course.. I thought it was kind of brutal... There was very little chemistry and the physics just seemed way more indepth and conceptual than the AAMC. Any other thoughts? Good luck guys, almost there!

I agree! The physical part was brutal. I mean those stuffs are so... ugh unnecessary for premeds and even doctors, like they expect us to excel in any physical science field to do good on the mcat... I really really dislike the way they chose passages for the PS part..

Hey guys,

I got an email today with my Amazon gift card info (card code) and my performance on the trial section. Here is my performance:

"You answered 34% of questions correctly on the Trial Section which puts you in the bottom half as compared to others who received the same Trial Section questions as you."

Just wanted to keep you guys updated. Kind of surprised that I got 34% becase I but zero effort into this section after the first passage.

I got my Trial Section results as well. 81% (top quarter!), which is great, considering my complete lack of preparation for that material. I hope this bodes well for my VR score, since I answered most of the questions by carefully reading the passages.

I'm laughing at the idea of premeds across the country sitting in their lectures right now, receiving this email and then anxiously checking the testing history site for an update on their real score. I know I did just that. No dice yet.

I got 41%, hope that's not indicative of my real score! I was so exhausted by the end so I was really only reading the questions not the passages. Now I'm really concerned about the real score 🙁

59% on the trial section, so top quarter for me too! I also checked AAMC to see if scores were released as well :/

Almost there.

75% on the trial section, top 25 percentile too! I guess that's what happens when you major in the social sciences lol.

66%, top quarter for biochem. Honestly I only did the conceptual questions and guessed on experimental/ data analysis ones.

You guys received the code via email? I haven't received an email yet. Does that seem weird? I just guessed on all of the answers since I was too tired to put any effort into it. Do you think that's why I haven't received an email? They couldn't do that, right? They in no way said the reward was dependent upon the performance.

I think some factors (such as time you put into it) are also considered. If you took 5 mins to answer everything then they would be suspicious.

I took about 25 - 30 mins and scored poorly (below half) and still got my card because I stayed on a passage and just daydreamed. You'd be surprised the amount of info they have on you.

I put zero effort into it and guessed most of it. After 3 sections I just didn't really care and got my 30$

I actually do think you had to have put in an honest effort, on the aamc website it says "You will also receive the following if you put forth a good-faith effort:" and goes on to list the gift card and the feedback, so maybe if you breezed through them and didnt do so hot they would take that as a sign you were just clicking through it. Though I have no idea.

Well, I am a Home Health Aide now, I have to wait to take my State Exam to become a CNA.
( I am planning to try one last chance to find a biologist job before I have to became someone's license servant-- ( HHA/CNA)--- If I have to do the HHA/CNA job I am only going to do it for about a month and go back to the same school to become a PCT or Phlebotomist these programs only take 5 days to complete at the tech school I am attending)

I also wanted to know if the schools that Princeton Review emails to you are random OR are they base on test scores---- I got an Princeton Review email about John Hopkins and USC but it was NOT pertaining to their medical school.

Probably would've helped if you took any FL since the ordering of the sections are always the same.

I was aware of the order, i used the AAMC practice tests #11, so i figured it would be in the same order. But i will def review the FL if i have to retake the exam... fingerscrossed that i dont tho!!
