Thanks! I was under review longer than that! I think I got that email from them around August... Don't despair! I wasn't expecting to hear from them till after December cause I thought they wanted to see my grades this semester or something... But, patience pays off... 😉 You'll get your invite soon! They only had 2 dates available for December: the 10th and the 17th... Didn't check past that though...😱
 
A little over a week until my first official interview! How was everyone's lecom interview so far?

What does your LECOM portal say? Mine says "Your file is under review by the Admissions Committee. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made"

yup i already interviewed and mine says the same thing!
 
Could someone who has already interviewed share their travel plans? Was it better to fly in/out from Tampa? Do hotels in Bradenton offer shuttle services to and from the Tampa airport? Uber or Lyft near the school?

I didn't fly in, but it seems like the most common thing for people coming in from out of state was flying into Tampa and renting a car to drive to Bradenton. That would also let you drive directly to the school the day of be interview without waiting for a shuttle and whatnot. From what I hear, this was the cheapest method.

yup this is exactly what i did and it worked out really well
 
Excited for tomorrow. I'm a Tampa resident but will be staying at a Holiday Inn near the school tonight to make sure I don't get delayed from traffic. Not sure if anyone else is going to be there this evening, but feel free to message me privately on here if you are and want to meet up 🙂 Good luck to everyone interviewing.

You sit at a table with 5 other people and answer random questions. I had completely different questions than my friend who interviewed the month prior. There's 4 or 5 dif interviewers and 4 interviewing groups.. Each interviewer has dif questions

In addition to what metsfan said, my group had time to ask questions, so make sure you have a few questions to ask. I didn't get a chance to ask one because we only had time for two or three and other people in my group asked before I could. Not sure if that hurt me or not.

It was really laid back. They were very friendly and laughing. Dont stress over it! It's a group interview, they don't ask any personal questions. It was all very general!! I don't think they asked my group why we want to be a dentist even, I wasn't sure if it was a lack of time or they just don't ask that.
 
I have an interview on the 17 of December so if any one would like to room together and split the cost, that would be great!

on the initial email it says you should, but I don't know if everyone does. I didn't. I just got an email 9 days before my interview to reconfirm. congrats on the interview btw! it's a very relaxed setting & everyone there is extremely nice.

About this time last years people's portals on aadsas started to change. I don't have LECOM on my aadsas portal. Does anyone else have it on their portal? And what does it say?

i have LECOM on my portal and it says:
07/27/2015 Received/Under Review File is currently under review by the Admissions Committee.

I had my interview 10/15 and its said this since 7/27 on my aadsas portal

Me too, i have that same sentence on my portal since my supplemental has been processed. I haven't heard anything since then, but I assume they take somewhere from 2-3 months to get back. My application has been under review since 10/16..

Mine says the same as yours for both the AADSAS and LECOM portals. (LECOM portal admission status changed to that after my interview date)

My LECOM portal says the same as yours but LECOM doesn't show up on my aadsas portal :/
 
None of those mean anything. I was accepted two years ago and I didn't have LECOM listed on my AADSAS portal. My LECOM portal also said my file was under review.

It varies but most schools are usually too busy to update the portals in real time. I know its a stressful process but its just a waiting game and everyone in it plays it. Best thing to do is keep busy or enjoy the things you won't get to when you're in D school :boom:

My AADSAS portal is still the same - "under review". Same with LECOM portal - "Your file is under review by the Admissions Committee. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made."
