Rejected after interview. Clearly my spot is meant for someone else and I hope an SDN'er gets it.

sorry to hear that. what are your stats if you don't mind sharing

So am I the only who didn't even hear anything for an interview yet! I guess my chances are really low if there are people already on the waitlist! My supplemental has been under review since 10/16 and I applied in august.... I'm literally dying!

I will be interviewing December 17th. For those that have already interview/accepted, any tips/suggestions/style/outline of the interview day? 🙂

Tips: Breathe! It's okay if you take the time to think as everyone else says their responses! I was always last to say my response to the question and I thought that didn't come across well/that I wasn't assertive enough, but I was accepted! As for the interview day, everyone is separated into groups of 6 in each interview and you have different times to interview while other groups do tour, etc. Style is 6 with 2 faculty in a nice room that looks like their PBL rooms (with a long table and everyone sits around). For some reason, I imagined in my head before my interview that it would be like an interrogation panel with all the students at one end of the room and the interviewers at the other end and we would all pass a long a mic, but it was not lol! Best of luck! :headphone:

Not much else to add onto that. Just let the conversation flow as best you can. Personally, I answered some questions first and I answered some last and some half way through. I was worried that I wouldn't get a chance to talk but everyone answered every question that was asked. Just don't say silly things (like whoever in my group answered that he was a Brony) and most of, just relax. The campus is beautiful and the people (both staff and students) were absolutely lovely to talk to.

LECOM finally appeared on my aadsas portal! Haha it confirms what I already know... Wait listed!

for those are wait listed, does it also say "applicant accepted wait list position" on your aadsas portal?

Mine says that as well, Does anyone know the odds of being accepted off the Lecom waitlist?

I think they put out ~250 offers total 1 or 2 years ago (according to ADEA Guide). Interestingly, they sent a 2nd congratulatory email yesterday but the email got messed up and it had a list of all the emails it was being sent to, and I counted 142 emails. Which means they offered 142 people spots right now, so theres most likely going to be alot of movement over the next few months, especially if they normally give out 100+ more offers over the full cycle.

wow thank you!!!

I just called them today afternoon, and they said that being on the waitlist doesn't necessarily mean that all spots are taken, there are still people to be accepted. She said that after the interview, the committee come up with 1 of 3 different decisions, either acceptance, rejection, or being on the waitlist which is a 50/50 chance. I also assume that there will be a lot of changes this next period. They still keep interviewing people until april!

I wonder how many got wait listed. It could mean more people take the first offer and less people come off wait list! :/

Well there will be people accepting other school offers + some people will not accept the wait list so there is still a decent chance to get accepted off the wait list. However they will continue to interview more and more students. So that means that the wait list will grow over time. Those of us on the wait list now will have a higher chance of getting accepted next period (January?) but over time the chances will drop a lot.

I'm so glad someone else did that. I was too scared to post the number but I threw it into an excel sheet and counted lol

Is there anyone else putting down their deposit besides me? There are only two other schools I'd attend over LECOM and they haven't even asked me to interview, so I can't wait around for them.

I got accepted into LECOM but will be declining the offer because of my other acceptance.
I believe LECOM is a great school with an interesting curriculum, but pricer than my state school. Best of luck to those who are on the waitlist! May your dreams come true here 🙂)

Does anyone know how many people LECOM interviews?
The interviews are group interviews. Mine had 5 other students, and two LECOM admissions staff. We went around the table answering questions. It was casual and low stress.

Well they started interviews on Aug 20th so about 350 people interviewed if they had 4 groups of six each week. Just a guess.

According to ADEA they interviewed almost 600 people total (IS and OOS) from the 2014 entering cycle.

did anyone get an interview invitation if the application is under review on or later than october 16?

when was your application first sent to the committee for review? My application is under review since 10/16 and I was wondering if I was the only one who didn't hear anything since if there were other applications processed at the same time frame...

They put my application under review on 10/01 and I recently received an interview for January, so they are possibly getting to yours now.

08/07 was when mine was under review, I got the email around september, but I couldn't make it to the other interview dates.

when was your application processed and was sent for review?
I submitted my application June 17. It was verified July 9. Submitted supplemental July 20. Was put on hold or whatever from August 12 till October 29 when they invited me for interview.

I know that I need to pay my deposit... but I can't bring myself to mail the check for $2000 😱
Are the deposits at other schools this high?!

Want me to take ur spot and pay it for you?!? lmfaooo
Haha I'll keep it <3 My meager teacher's salary means I only make $2,300 a month so sending this in is a huge hit to my poor bank account :arghh::arghh:
