**** The Official Louisville Class of 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread ****

Hey guys, thank you for all of your comments and thoughts abt Louisville; I am definitely sold on it :bow: It was actually a 4th year student who talked to me abt the school and how much he loves it. He came to Utah to complete an internship that is required by the school. I noticed he felt very confident abt his clinical skills, as well as with clinical procedures :clap: On top of that, he just had his second kid and still doing well at Louisville. I have a family of my own, and by meeting him I learned that it is doable....not easy but still doable :prof: Louisville, here I go! 👍

What were the follow up documents? Did they send out a supplementary application? I have not received anything...
 
For those of you who have been invited: is there any flexibility in interview dates, or do they just tell you what date to come?

Check your spam folder! I found out the request for the supplementary application fee had been in my spam folder for over a week!

Last year they sent a separate e-mail closer to the actual interview date that contained a couple of supplemental forms. Also, they provide you with a set date. I'm sure you can request alternate interview dates if you have a conflict.

He's absolutely right. If they see anyone post on SDN about their interview dates they're going to find out who that person is by a backwards routing your IP address that's saved with each individual post. They will find you and they will revoke your interview!!! Then, they will send your information to all the other dental schools to stop you from getting in anywhere else. Sorry, since you've already posted this you're out of luck for getting in this year. Better luck next time.

I just want to clarify, that was 100% sarcasm. They don't look at this site, let alone care. It's standard practice for people to post things like their interview dates on this anonymous site.

You can call it anonymous all you want. But off my posts, any dental school could figure out who I am by looking at my app. So yes, I saw the sarcasm, but the reality is keep as many odds in your favor as possible by following the schools' rules.

You worry too much. I shared a lot last year; and I've been attending dental school for over a month, at Louisville. So, I wouldn't stress out too much.

I got the email confirming they had received my application July 22. I don't know what batch I was but hopefully this will answer your question. The interview invitation was August 9.
 
Has anyone with an 8/26 interview received an itinerary or supplemental forms? I remember filling out some papers and having to turn them in first thing last cycle.

Since your interview is on Monday, I'd call the admissions office and ask them about it. I remember having paperwork that needed to be done prior to the interview. Good luck!

Got the email as soon as I was about to call.
 
Did anyone receive an application complete email from Louisville? They said they send them out in a previous email but I never have received one yet! My fee is paid and all my stuff has been in for over 3 weeks now...
 
Word from admissions is that out of state invites go out some time this week!!! Here's hoping!!!

First batch- but DAT scores went out in the 4th batch.

Aal- hahaha omg thanks that's too funny. I think Louisville's great, or I wouldn't have applied, but I've come to terms with the fact that I'm just an east coast kinda girl! 🙂

I received an interview invite today as well. What other places have you received invites?

Method of notification: E-mail
Residency: UTAH
Application mailed: 7/5
GPA (science, overall) 3.58, 3.67
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 24/23/23/24/no sir

Finally receive application complete and "under review" email. Applied third batch but Committee letter didn't mail until 8/16.

very similar situation here. one prof didn't mail until 8/16, so what batch we are really in? Is the batch determined based on the date of aadsas submission or the date when every requirement is met?
 
Batch # is determined by AADSAS mail out date but I think at this point in the cycle batch # isn't really a factor since your file isn't under review until everything is submitted and processed by the school.
 
for those with an interview, did the status on AADSAS change at all, does it say "invited for interview"??

Yes, it changed to invited to interview in the school decisions tab on aadsas
