Congrats everyone! unfortunately I misplaced my usb lol... did it have super important info besides the living options?

Just accepted my offer yesterday (OOS)!

I look forward to meeting you all.

Any advice on living arrangements?

Congrats! How far from campus do you want to live? Personally, I like the highlands or Clifton area because it's not too far from campus and have many restaurants close by.

I received an interview for Jan!!

Excited for the interview. I know this is a late interview but anyone else that will be there on Jan. Good luck!

Also if anyone would like to leave any other tips? I know the process of the interview but would love to know for the ones that have interviewed what they particularly liked in the school.

I really liked how involved faculty were during interview day. The interview is set up where you interview with two faculty members or a faculty member and a student, and the interviews are a good length so you can really feel like you're developing a rapport with your interviewer, rather than a lightning round Q & A. The faculty and staff seemed just as excited that you were there as you are on your interview day. During the tour, we were able to see some really neat things happening, like some of their new technology, and every professor that we ran into was very eager to share something about what they were doing or a student they were working with. Several of the professors I interacted with were alumni of ULSD and they shared some nice anecdotes about being in school there, which I found particularly nice because their excitement and love of ULSD was contagious.

Congratulations!!

While you were waitlisted, did you contact the school at all with updates/questions about the waitlist?
Thank you!! Well, I didn't have any questions about being waitlisted, but I was prompt with my response that I was still very interested (I was pretty bummed at first! I really liked Louisville!) But when my Fall grades were posted, I e-mailed them screenshots of my Summer and Fall grades and completed my Academic Update on AADSAS as soon as possible!

nice!! What did you change about your application??
I had two "C's" on my transcript, and made those A's. I also increased my DAT score. I unfortunately am not a good standardized test taker. I have been involved with a dental office since 2013 also.

oh wow nice!! are you in undergrad still? Also, do you mind if I ask about your dat? How did you get involved at the dental office? you can dm if you want

Congrats!!!!!! I'm also OOS on the waitlist. Do you mind if I ask what your stats are? I have no idea what order I am in... just praying I get in here.

What were your stats?

I didn't know what order I was in either... I just kept hoping for the best! I have a 3.68 overall GPA and a 3.57 science GPA. DAT scores were an AA of 20, TS of 20, PAT of 19!

Good luck to you both!

What is average cost of attendance for Louisville?

OOS is $311,713
In state is $216,878
Per the flashdrive they gave us at the interview.
Thank you. I am considering Louisville if I must reapply for an OOS school

So this is probably a dumb question but I don't remember them talking about it at my interview. Do we have to provide our own teeth in the sim lab at Louisville or do they provide them for us?

By my own calculations and e-mailing with Mrs. Barbara Dagnan in their Financial Aid office, who provided me with the Total Cost of Attendance for Non-Residents, it's closer to $400,494 rather than $311,713.

That's obscene where did the extra 90k come from?

I read a thread on here that said they provide them to us for free. Which I’m sure it’s somehow pre-calculated in our tuition.

Those figures they gave us at the interview were an average of all out of state students. So I'm sure there were some who had parents help pay, spouses who worked so they didn't take out loans for living expenses, while others took the full amount of loans. I would imagine that's why that number seems much lower than the total cost that carisc21 is talking about.
